I will throw my name in the hat. Not sure how many I will be able to make, but what the hey. Nice job jaydoc the OP looks good.

That's a good idea Socks don't post list till everyone has submitted their car choice simple and easy. Kind of like what I said here
I trust you'll keep that list on lockdown until race day just to be prudent?
but better. Hey j*d I was wondering we don't get any points for the test and tune week do we? What purpose does it serve? I guess it would be cool to showcase our picks after they are locked in & spend that first night pooling & sharing our tune knowledge that would help everyone. Your all such great racers here, it would be nice to round out your skillset with a tuning degree ;)

Wow, lots of great questions!

Lets start with Spoon Sports.. In this instance only the Integra would be available (due to years of cars available) and yes, Spoons idea is to sell these cars to the general public as tuned street cars, so it's fair game.

As far as Rally and Touring Cars, if it was not sold as shown in the version you are questioning to the general public, then no, it's not available. If it has a number plate, it's not available. If it's a prototype, it's not acailable.

Basically, think street car.

Now, in terms of choosing and listing the car. If you choose to keep it under wraps until the first race of the event, that is fine, but once the tires hit the asphalt, you are in the car for the month, kapeesh?

And the purpose of the test and tune is because we do not have a separate night for organized practice. It will allow us all a night to get together and race for fun.

Thanks for all the great questions! I did not think of these!

Good answer good answer! <-----Steve Harvey moment LOL

Thanks for clearing the query's so quickly 👍 this is going to be a lot of fun.
Sorry another Q: So we can pull out say our top 3 cars (you wouldn't actually need 3 cars but it would keep the others guessing) roll them on test/tune night and make our decisions at the end of that night, turn it in and you'll post the list shortly before the 2nd Thursday night of the months race. That sound about right?

I'm currently testing a car for the '90's FF events, and I think it's going to be a good one. You will know what it is soon enough.

Also, hypothetical question: if someone puts his car in testing on share to have a third party opinion on it, could this person trust the other racers not to try the same car out or read its specs?

OK, more good questions, lets take them one at a time:

jay*doc what if you set a deadline for everyone to pm you their car choice. Then you post everyone's car at the same time. Then we're stuck with what we turned into you. No changing after you post the cars. Just a thought incase others have same concerns as busted.

I am OK with that idea for anyone who wants to PM them to me. Also, the option is there to wait and bring out a car on the night of the first event. The risk here is that if you pick something non-compliant, all the time of tuning and selecting may be wasted...

Thanks and welcome MBOBB!

I'm going to go with no on this one. The idea here is to simulate a High Speed Touring Event. If you've never been to one, you basically drive your car to the track, pass a tech inspection, and race it. Lets all pretend we don't have a 3 car trailer and dually pickup to pull our cars to the track. It's a run what you brung. Once you enter the track with a vehicle, that is your car.

Hypothetical question: if someone puts his car in testing on share to have a third party opinion on it, could this person trust the other racers not to try the same car out or read its specs?

That is up to you, but when in doubt, don't share it.

Thanks again for all the interest in this Series! Remember to Keep It Simple!

Hello Turtles! Hope everyone is having a great time! Glad to see a lot of interest coming in. I will be available to race this Thursday night. I believe there is nothing planned out for this Thursday yet, and i'm willing to either host a certain PP,type of cars or even shuffle racing, whatever you turtles are up too. See you all on the track soon!

Jay*Doc- thanks for creating this new turtle series..really means a lot to us racers and too turtle racing League! 👍

I'm thinking about just hosting a Social Night on Thursday, to get any in person questions worked out and run a few quick races. Nothing formal, just a little pre series get together?

Sounds good!! See you all there!

I think I already have a car for the FF race... it may need few tweaks here in there.

Jaydoc, do you also need the muscle car or can I send it to you after the FF Japanese race? HOnestly, I haven't chosen a muscle car yet.

You can send it whenever, or debut it at the first event. The cars will only be listed on the drivers list to make sure the cars stay the same for the duration of that month.

Hello All, I will be hosting a pre series social event Thursday at 8PM eastern to introduce the league and answer any further questions. Please see instructions in OP if you would like to join this series! Hope to see you all there!

I'd would like to say testing for my entry is nearly finished, but its pretty much done, anyhow. I'll PM jay my entry later on.

I scraped what I thought would be my entry this morning. Found one covered with dust that's much better stock. Can't wait to try and tune it.

It's less hp but a lot lighter more agile and less understeer than my prior choice. I was a happy man with a smile on my face this morning.

Sometimes less is more!!! I'll pm you my entry by end of week jay.

I'd love to be a part of this series! Is it okay If I'm 15-30 minutes late to qualifying? I get off work right at 5PM-ish Pacific Time.

Thanks for the list Wins, and I'll get you added to the Drivers List!

Thanks Jay. I'm scheduled to work at 430 today so its uncertain what time I'll go out tonight. Won't know until 415. If I bring a car tonight, I have to keep it all month?

No, I believe we have until the day of next Thursday nights race. That's the day we start racing for points . But you can only bring 1 car tonight just like a real touring series.

Not going to be there tonight either. Have a League race tonight. I haven't tried any cars yet. Got a bunch of tuned Honduhs from early GT5 days, no doubt out of date after physics updates.

Tonight is simply a social night, I'll probably set a PP and a track for short races, but nothing formal or for points. Real racing for this series does not start until September 5th.

You can use anything you like tonight, I think I'll set PP to 450.

Alright. I'll try and make it tonight. 8 pm is when we start getting the kids ready for bed and I haven't tuned or tested any cars. We will see how it goes

Great meet tonight. This series is going to provide some close, yet unpredictable races. Photos to follow! Thank you for all that came out!
