NASCAR was fun, and I too will admit, I do not typically like racing NASCAR. I think it's success had to do a bit with the room settings, and a lot with the great group we have!

I second a revisiting of NASCAR in the near future!

I wonder how it would go if we used tuned classic muscle cars.

@Severn suggested a Tuesday NASCAR meet up, which I think would be great.
Or as an HST after hours activity also.
I thought the Huayra's at Route X was fun too.

Still want to do the Fit lap at Stowe if possible. I practiced for it, and I think the other guys can lower their times quite a bit if they re do it.

I'm also toying with the idea of starting a Monday autocross event.

I'm off work tomorrow night if anyone wants to get together for some more nascar. If anyone wants to I'll open a room around 9.

Or @euclid58 if you want to do some testing for your autocross idea I'd be up for that to.

I found out why I couldn't get in jays room Thursday night.

It's a glitch but an avoidable one.

I didn't have jays new FR.
Apparently if you except a FR from someone after they've opened a room and their hosting of course it will tell you room is full no matter what.
Jay would have had to close that room and open a new one after I had accepted his FR for me to get in.

But now since I have the new FR it won't happen anymore.

Like I said an avoidable glitch. Just make sure your friends with someone before they open a room and all will be good.

I'll just plan on being on tomorrow then.. Hopefully we'll get a few others to join in..

Charger 440 R/T '70

842 hp. 1,650 lbs. 581 pp.

All performance upgrades sans weight redux, RH tires..

208-210 mph. top speed.

I thought sports tires felt better and was more fun to drive, but either way it was necessary to lift going in and quite a bit of throttle control needed. It was possible to spin on exit with SH's. Major fun..

I was thinking more about the Superbird when I suggested it, but I really love this car as well.

I tested the Superbird like this in GT5 and was great also.
That will be next, and the Charger Super Bee 426 Hemi '71, also even more powerful and a bit heavier.

Looking ahead to the next challenge after NASCAR I've built the following list based on the criteria listed in the (4 doors, hatch back, no mini-vans (also assumed no SUVs))
The ones I find Questionable because they fit the criteria but aren't *really* Wagon-like have a ? (which obviously is most of them... because really I think they're more like 4-door hatchbacks... and I think all of the ? would be disqualified if the rule added some sort of rule about distance from the back wheel to the tail of the car being at least a certain length or some such... which is why I wanted to make this list for clarification... and because I'm bored )

? Audi A2 1.4 '02 - 303pp
Audi RS 4 '01 - 472pp
Audi RS 6 Avant '02 - 486pp
Audi RS 6 Avant '08 - 518pp
? BMW 120d '04 - 388pp
? BMW 120i '04 - 368pp
? Chrysler PT Cruiser '00 - 356pp
? Citroen C3 1.6 '02 - 331pp
? Daihatsu SIRION CX 2WD (J) '98 - 285pp
? Daihatsu SIRION CX 4WD (J) '98 - 276pp
? Daihatsu SIRION X4 (J) '00 - 363pp
? Daihatsu SIRION CX 2WD '98 - 285pp
? Daihatsu SIRION CX 4WD '98 - 276pp
? Daihatsu SIRION X4 '00 - 363pp
? Ford Focus ST '13 - 429pp
? Honda FIT RS '10 - 350pp
? Honda FIT W '01 - 328pp
? Lancia DELTA HF Integrale Evoluzione '91 - 401pp
Lexus IS 300 Sport Cross '01 - 405pp
? Mazda 2 '03 - 342pp
Mazda Axela 23S '03 - 387pp (slightly questionable)
? Mazda DEMIO GL-X '99 - 326pp
? Mazda DEMIO SPORT '03 - 341pp
? Mazda DEMIO SPORT '10 - 347pp
Mitsubishi AIRTREK Turbo-R '02 - 408pp
? Mitsubishi COLT 1.5 Sport X Version '02 - 323pp
Mitsubishi LEGNUM VR-4 Type V '98 - 420pp

(A bunch of other little tiny Nissan 4/5door hatchbacks I don't feel like including)
Nissan STAGEA 25t RS FOUR S '98 - 418pp
Nissan STAGEA 260RS AutechVersion '98 - 418pp
Subaru IMPREZA Sport Wagon STi (Type-I) '00 - 453pp
Subaru IMPREZA Sport Wagon WRX STi Version VI '99 - 452pp
(Other WRX 4-door hatchbacks... I'm getting lazier here)
Subaru LEGACY Touring Wagon 2.0GT '03 - 440pp
Subaru LEGACY Touring Wagon 2.0GT spec.B '03 - 440pp
Subaru LEGACY Touring Wagon 3.OR '03 - 416pp
Subaru LEGACY Touring Wagon GT-B '96 - 435pp
(Suzuki 4 door hatchbacks)
Toyota ALTEZZA Gita AS300 '01 - 405pp
Toyota CALDINA GT-FOUR '02 - 425pp (slightly questionable)
? Toyota COROLLA RUNX Z AEROTOURER '02 - 387pp
(Toyota 4 door hatchbacks, PRIUS, Vitz, etc...)
Volvo 240 GLT Estate '88 - 314pp (I think we can all admit that this is the most ultimate station wagon that has ever existed... choosing anything other than this makes you not human.)

So, yeah... if we drop 4 door hatchbacks we end up with the non-question marked cars... with the possible exception of the 2 slightly questionable cars and maaaaybe the Daihatsu SIRIONs... which you probably wouldn't be able to get up to the pp limit anyways.

The Daihatsu Sirion/Storia X4 is an excellent little rally car tuned.
It tunes up pretty high, I've used it a lot. The other Storia's wont.

Sorry for leaving abruptly guys. I was a danger to everyone on track as well as myself. Could not figure out what to do with the bendy parts of the track. :banghead:

It's OK man, those cars didn't like to turn very well. I did so good race 1, then it all fell apart!

I love wagons, I always have, even before I bought one. I've used so many of these cars and have had so much fun in them, they are one of the hidden gems of the GT Series in my opinion.

My go to car would now have to be the copy of my WRX, but I may try something different… I've always been a fan of the Stagea's, the Sport Cross, and the Volvo.. The Mitsu Legnum was one of my first loves of the game, In GT4, all blacked out, fully modded (even nitrous aka NAWWWWS!)

Oh the memories...

It's a shame the Volvo only gets up to the mid 400's PP-wise... it handles like a dream!

On the other hand, the other wagon I tested drifts like a dream... near impossible to spin (or go straight) unless you miscalculate and catch some grass

Lol, sorry. I had a Saturday morning meeting, with me, and decided it was best. @BionicDerp

I think we may have to throw in a station wagon drift battle at Apricot Hill. Just sayin. I've made my car choice...

I haven't fully decided yet... but my rules were: 1.) it has to really look like a grocery wagon and 2.) not a subaru or audi as they're too obvious.

I've got 2 more to test I think.

My mom has a grocery carrier: a 2006 Dodge Magnum R/T :dopey: And also my dad is currently working on a 1983 Chevy Malibu. But, he's put a ZZ4 Corvette engine in it. Fun fun fun!!! :P

I was able to acquire through Lexus a "Black" IS300 sportcross. A little underpowered for our purposes but fast and keeps the milk and Nutella in good order. Its a shame this one never hit the American drag strip-mall circuit.
