I tested the Tuscan the other day and cant believe how bad it understeers now.
It was never that bad before, but it probably has a little to do with the new physics.
Not on the list anyway. I'll have to test the other TVR's. Guess that's my project today.
A lot of cars to try and not much time.
Think it might be a Lotus showdown this time.

I am leaning towards the Aston or new and old Jags. I know at 500pp the Elise will kill, but I will look classy in back. Stripped track cars e.g. Xbow rocket caterham for Top Gear? Or maybe hot hatchs? Just thinking out loud now...

I'm not willing to admit how long the three new seasonals took me today.
And I still didn't gold the FXX one, I'll need to use SRF to do that.
Now I know why you guys like that Impreza '09 Spec C so much. Sweet car.
So the plan was pick a car for Thursday, and I'm looking at all my British prospects...
Knowing that I can't use the Tuscan..And all I could think about was how disappointed I was with how it handled untuned.
I finally stopped in the middle of sorting through the other cars and said..screw this !!!!!
I mean... how can this be ??? This is my beloved Tuscan for crying out loud. One of my faves in GT series.

So I grabbed it and spent the rest of tonight tuning it at Silverstone..
And holy moly..it's back to it's old self again. I got a sweet 500pp tune for it, and 550 and 575 ones too.
And I got it handling pretty good, and I'm happy now...:)

I don't have a clue what car I'm using Thursday, but I'm happy.
At least now I can concentrate on it.

Here's a few from last week. I was experimenting with filters for a while, but don't have much to post right now.
I'll try to get more pics of everyone later if I can..
Here's @3forSpeed battling with @Ph1sher in R2.

The hills are alive.

The famous #39

This is what the heat of the battle looked like in R1, with @GT_Racer22 leading flag to flag.

The Elise will kill alright.. kill it's driver, or at least me anyway.
Wasn't such a hard choice after all once I re acquainted myself with how difficult some of them are to drive.
I spent close to an hour trying to tune the Evora so it wouldn't spin so easily and couldn't.
Could not do even one lap with any of the Lotus cars without either spinning or going off or both.
So after tuning an ill handling Tuscan into pure magic, I just gave up on the Lotus idea.
Those are cars our Aliens like Derp can drive well, but I wouldn't dare.

I'll most likely go with the T350c in sunset orange unless someone else is using that color.
I'd like to test the Griffith this week too (another long time fave). Most likely stick with the T350 though.

I left out cars right at or above 500PP, because I wasn't sure if they'd be too fast or not fast enough. That's mainly the new Astons and Jags, because they're a lot heavier than some of the other cars, and I wasn't sure if they'd outrun the smaller cars because of their power, or lag behind because of their weight. If you have a car that's a two-door, is British, 500PP, and you reeeeeeeaaaaaally want to run it, you can.

Just try to limit duplicates, I wanna see a lot of different cars out there. :P

I just realize that 500PP is WAY too much for a Lotus Elise. :scared: I'm going to have to pull all I can do to keep this little serial killer in control.

EDIT: Scratch what I just said, I made a tuning breakthrough and I am a genius! Let's just hope I have the skill now.

Well.. with the Tuscan it's a tune down issue, so I understand the exclusion.
I'm cool with the T350c. If someone else is already planning on using it, (it's fantastic as is the Tamora), then I'll also have a Griffith 500, and Tuscan on standby. So we can avoid too many duplicates. We'll see what rolls up on Thurs.

I actually like the newest one best of all of them because it's slower..
I might be able to drive that one un tuned with soft tires... If I'm lucky.

The tires are racing hards, not sport softs. :P We're turning these into pure racing machines these two weeks. No, "It's just a road car!" garbage.

Im going with the Jaguar xk coupe luxury '07. If more Astons were available I would go that way. Now I just have to put this big cat on a diet. I would probably use the '61 e type jag as a backup choice.

That XK Coupe Luxury '07 is a sweet ride.
I love the XFR '10 in Kyanite Blue even though it weighs almost two tons.
I just got one and it's such a blast to slide it around.
While I was driving it I was thinking, might be a good car for me to learn how to drift with.

<--- The S15 is nicely balanced out of the box, and a stock Viper GTS '02 slides great as well.

As a prize, since we do not really have prizes often, how about @euclid58 , @3forSpeed , and @GT_Racer22 can each pick a 2 week series based on the cars/tracks of their choice.

Please PM me your choices and I'll add them on the schedule!

Thanks again, this month was very fun!!

Yay! Third step on the podium, but I'll take it! Soo.... On to a theme... I'll think it up đź‘Ť

I was thinking aloud a Jag XKR-S '11 vs V12 Vantage '10 British heavyweights showdown.
Kinda like Derp's choice part 2 on different tracks. And a weight minimum.
But that's just an idea though. Doesn't mean I'll go with it.... Just an idea.
I will want feedback and ideas from everyone on my selection.
I want it to be something everyone wants to do.

edit: But if nobody else proposes a muscle car event, then that's going to be a serious consideration as well.:P

Okay.. I guess a British heavyweights is kind of lame because were already doing British cars.
And not enough cars to choose from, and that's not in line with the HST style event.
So now the thought is leaning towards a combined Japanese and Euro GT Classics.

So guys, a slight misfortune has happened. The replays from the Toscana race don't seem to be working for me. I will keep trying to see if that changes but the HST Rags 2 Riches Week 4 Highlights will be delayed or cancelled entirely. :(

I can try to do it. My ElGato is still in the box, haven't even looked at it yet.
And I've got the Roxio program still installed.

I've compiled a list of so far 26 potential classic Japanese and European cars for one theme I wanted to work through.
And I'm hell bent on the two tracks for that theme if it works.
It's just an idea though.. And will take a lot of testing.. A muscle car or British heavy's would be a lot easier.
Classics make up the majority of the cars I still want to add to my collection, so I'm kind of looking forward to that.
It's just going to take time. It also depends on what @GT_Racer22 and @3forSpeed come up with too.
But one of us has roughly two weeks to submit. But if I can work out a theme in the next week the others will have more time.

Also wanted to post some pics of my Blackpool Collection (TVR) during the current theme.
That would only take about 15 min.
Already have the pics.

Good morning racers!

Please make sure you are friends with BionicDerp on PSN, he will be our host for the next 2 weeks!

Thanks!

Due to the crazy weather an my fear of the power going out, my racing tonight will be slim. Unless this storm moves out before then, I probably won't be down to clown. :(

Thought I was going to make tonight and miss FLEX tomorrow, but the festivities have extended to include tonight as well.

See you all (some) at Enduro on Saturday!

Room is open.
