I hate Nuerburgring

I'm telling you: just do that A license test (sorry i'm forgetting which number it is). Push R3 (your rite analog stick) so it shows you the racing line you'll need to take. Do it about 10x till you begin to memorize it.

No it won't take you thru the entire section between karussels, but at least it takes you thru the most difficult portion.

That would be A16, the final exam for the National A license, from the Caracciola Karussell to Brünnchen, certainly one of the more technical portions of the 'Ring. Use the blue line to learn the line, but reinforce the lesson by doing it again without the blue line.

There are, I believe, a total of seven license tests at Nürburgring. Once you can at least silver all of them, you're well on your way to learning the 'Ring!

I have a few errors occasionally, but for the most part, I do very well on the course, even at high speed. Normally, the chance to strike is often near the bridge, where you have a chance to accelerate beyond the opponent/s.

But that's fairly easy, eh?

Thanks for the advise. I have a silver already. It seems a bit like walking a tightrope on this section. I will practise some more on A16.

i got a bronze on that:grumpy:
i'm totally not good at "the Ring"

It is hard because it is so long. I feel like I need to take a break halfway.
I never really did well on that course, yet I love it. Someday I am going to Germany and going to drive through it. :sly:

In My Opinion The Ring is the backbone of the game, I never thought that I would master it but now at 100% it´s pretty much the only track I drive. After I´ve cleared Mission 34 I was happy like a child for days (but I made a promise to my self to never try it again)

I LOVE THE RING! and my dream is to drive it my self live, and go around in a Ring-Taxi BMW M5.

i can understand why some people dont like "the ring" but i love it. i (being 14) and having been on the ring and driven round and being on it in real life is something else. on gt4 it is recreated so well and the "bumpiness" is as it is in real life.

if you really dont like it race it in b-spec and save your moaning

The Green Hell? Pah! The Green HEAVEN more like.

I love the 'Ring, and got Gold on the S-16 test on my first try! At the moment I'm trying to complete Mission 34 in the Driving Missions section for 6 hours last night, and so far I've come 1.5 seconds close to beating it. Damn that 2 minute wait though.

It's such a gorgeous circuit and to me the only one that seems to convey high speeds properly, which makes it all the more of a rush to drive. Plus the history that's part of it, I've seen videos of the uber-old Grand Prix that took place there, all black n white and scratchy looking.

I just wish that Formula 1 still raced there.

You either love the Nuerburgring...or you hate it...I know when I first got GT4, I went into Arcade mode and hopped into the Ruf Yellowbird....BOY! Was that a mistake! I couldn't keep that thing on the track to save my life!
(Should have known NOT to use a RR car w/so much horsepower, but I just had to try it once!)
So, I just exited...and hoped into a 97' Acura NSX and ran it again and concentrated on the proper racing line.

After awhile, I would change up the car and take a less powerful one...Just to keep the game interesting and to this day, I still get a thrill out of running in the Lotus Elan with either N1 or N2 tires and though it (Elan) red lines at around 100MPH, it allows me to really test my driving skills on all the other sections but the straight aways.

I, like many here, drive the course 2/3rds of the time in a variety of cars just because, to me, it's the ultimate track for doing any kind of testing on. You set your car up there correctly and you'll see some fast times!
