Oh yea, I miss them all too along with a lot of other things.

New York, Paris Opera, El Capitan.............

Woe is us.

I miss Grand Canyon. In my opinion the only rally track that PD has ever designed that felt like a real rally special stage...

Good track length, tight twisted road, consecutive hairpins (yeah!!), great landscape and a very dynamic and "live" environment - spectators taking pictures of your car and avoiding it at the last moment was so great!

Makes you wonder why in GT5 we are stuck with awful auto generated rally tracks that are as wide as a highway and absolutely no surrounding scenery!👎

Rant over :)

I miss all the lost tracks from GT4 very much (with the exception of Nurburgring PD removed all, and I'm not exaggerating, I do mean ALL, of my favorite tracks. I like none of the news ones even close to as much). As mentioned somewhere above, I would even be happy if PD released them as "standard" tracks ported directly from GT4. At least I could drive them in GT5 then. As it is, I keep the GT4 disc in more than GT5 because I'm simply not interested in the track selection in GT5 all that much. The new tracks are slanted quite clearly towards the powerful cars. What I miss most are the tracks which were brilliant for low-powered great handling cars like the Lotus Elan and Europa, the Lancia Stratos etc.

There's really no excuse for the game lacking so many old tracks. They could have put them in as "Standard" if they really had no time.
I don't understand why they didn't do exactly this. It isn't as if all of the tracks that are in GT5 now are the pinnacle of graphical splendor anyways, nor is it as if PD really cared about graphical consistency in the game in the first place.

The only two exceptions to this would be the nighttime tracks (because I imagine a lot of stuff would need to be done to make them work with the new lighting engine) and Seattle (because the Kingdome has been demolished for over 10 years; and it was already kind of a joke that it was still in GT3, let alone GT4 and GTPSP).

Seattle is an awesome track. It has the right angle turns of a city track, but it actually flows and feels good to race on. Nothing like flying through that slight right hand bend onto the backstraight and flying down the hill into the sharp right hander. I can't believe it got replaced by Madrid and London which really don't do anything for me.

Apricot Hill reminds me of Grand Valley except it has a bit faster rhythm. Same goes for Midfield. But hey, at least we have five different variations of Cape Ring to hold us over. :grumpy:

Midfield, Infineon, Citta di Aria, Costa di Amalfi, El Capitan, Apricot Hill, Twin Ring Motegi, Seattle, Tahiti Road

Exactly.

How can they leave out Apricot Hill and Infineon. They are fantastic tracks. And El Capitan.

The three city tracks suck. Madrid, London and Rome, are pretty much ****. Seattle was way, way, way better than those three combined.

Oh, another old track that I kind of miss. Fuji 80's or Fuji 90's. I just cannot stand that twisty slow back half of the new layout. If we can have 2005 and 2009 versions of Sarthe, why can't we have a vintage version of Fuji?

Just saying.

Like many have posted, I am all for a Seattle track. I must however protest a 2 hour endurance race in Seattle. I do that drive every morning...although it only gets me the 60 miles from Olympia to Seattle.

Of all the tracks I wanted to see again, the best was the original SSR11. But thinking about it further now, I still hadn't truly mastered El Captain in all the years I played it in GT4, would love to have another run at that. Same goes for Grindewald. And Midfield has to be the best "life-like" fantasy race track ever.

Bring back Complex String, Used to love driving round that in my XJ 220

Complex String with an Aston Vanquish on simulation tyres was my favourite in GT3.

It would be good to see the original SS11 as well given the amount of time I put into being able to regularly get gold in the licence test with the TVR Griffith in GT1.

Apricot Hill was also fun but if you look at the corners it was basically rearranged version of Suzuka.

At least New York isn't in GT5.

We have way too many inane variations of the tracks in the game, and not enough individual tracks itself. Just like the car list basically. The fact that the track quality isn't consistent also makes me wonder why they didn't just port over the rest of the tracks (like they do with standards).

It only takes a quick look at this to see how many original and interesting tracks are missing. I mean, we have a lot of new real world courses now, but GT should never abandon its classics like Midfield, Apricot, El Capitan, etc.

I'm still waiting for the return of SSR11 and Complex String. Someday...

My missing favorites are El Capitan (all variants) and Motegi (all variants).

Why drop the two older Fuji's too ?

Does anyone know for sure if we'll ever get more tracks as DLC?

If so, will they be online/arcade only or will we get some actual new A-Spec events added?

I'm sure everyones noticed there is room above "Endurance" in the A- and B-Spec events list.

So, is this a new 'track wishlist' thread?

PD/KY if you read this post. Dump a lot of cars and include more track in GT6!

I really miss Midfield and El Capitan. Especially the Southernmost turn which threatened to throw you into the barrier if you went too hard:ouch:

the track I truely miss the most is Red Rock Valley. But I cannot believe PD couldn't include Seattle, El Capitan, or Midfield
