This is true, most of the original circuits didn't have a realistic level of concern for runoff area or safety.

The launchpad at the final chicane of Trial Mountain is a particularly egregious example.

To quote a very good sim racer from years ago "Trial Mountain was a cross between Spa and Monaco". Deep Forest and Grand Valley weren't far behind.

I served my time on these three tracks.
 
There’s an extremely high likelihood most of these iconic tracks have already been remade for GT7. It’s an obvious selling point for the new game.

As part of this remodelling. It’s easy enough to incorporate a little more realism in terms of ‘virtual’ safety features, like realistic kerbing, barriers, removing ‘jumps’ etc.

This would be instawin for PD.

If they did GT Sport with a few added original tracks and a few of the iconic cars back then they will sell 10s of millions if bundled with the PS5.
