I don't understand why there is nowhere any announcement or protest if so many people and leagues are complaining about online play? :ill:

Like Erik said, the box GT5 came in said it was compatible for 16players online.. 10 isn't 16.

So you tested it without being online? on my friend list it says you haven't been on for several days?

The point of this was trying to avoid lag, trying different things, not to race to win. Race to fix. I know it's not fun, but sometimes we have to try stuff so we can have fun in the future. I doubt it will be fixed any time soon to be very honest.
You are of course free to do what you want, but this test is pointless if we aren't as many as possible.

I have a second acount.

I don't understand it either Maxi, they managed to add a video to news now. a fantasy car going straight for god knows how long. Yawn.

If only someone could confirm it from PD, there is a bug, we are working on it.. Hey I even be happier if they say they know about it, but cant fix it.. then I know what is going on.
This waiting is just annoying, but I guess they have the same policy as Sony. Tell no one!!
I remember when PSN was down, they used a lot of silent treatment back then.
I guess I use the next week to fix up my car, have this two years control coming up and driving around in a lowered car has its cost. Now my exhaust system need to be replaced. Tear half of it off when driving the car on board a ferry. The sound from it is some what more than annoying! BROOOOM.

Sorry guys,I can't race this testing race, please remove me from testing sat track As i have a emergency hospital situation to attend , will see u guys soon on track with this annoying bug fixed ... Sincerely apologise .

I hope you are alright mate, thanks for letting us know.

Erik sounds like your driving too hard in real life , lol , just kidding .

ProPersian you missed that 11 lap race mate , I actually came back and won :)

At least my Fuji setup is solid :)

Ok I got an idea. Hope you like it.

Next weekend the 2.03 is out and need to be tested. I would like everyone here to be here to test.
After the test I suggest a small championship in one of the karts in game on Kart Space 1
(You guys decide what kart we all should use)

We split up the amount of drivers in two and top 3 from each group will battle it out in a final. The winner will get a 0/0/0 Toyota FT-86 II Concept '11 From me. I will not participate as driving karts with one leg is just not very fast.

I really hope everyone will show up for our test and our mini kart championship.

At least we can have some fun ;)

Sorry, I won't be there next weekend at all in my house as we are going on a 3-day excursion with my school. Sorry guys!

i'm up for it as always.. yesterday at the 11 lap race i had a project i had to finish and it had to be done in the next couple of hours but i' up for it.. hopefully we can start the championship soon after the 2.03 update

We should each donate a car into the pride fund. That way we could also have second and third place prizes

I'm up for whatever untill PD has done something about our problems!

I'm about to install rFactor right now and see what that looks like......time to come up with a plan B. :sly:

Complex GT5 Bug Causes Problems for Online Racers

Finally the news is spreading...It's about time! Now we can wait until PD recieves it. :dunce: :gtpflag:

After more research I think we might fall down to what we already knew about our lag.

I know we like to blame the bug and the bug is clearly there, with lots of guys complaining about it. But I think its worth a try

This post in the news section made sense to me:

Also seeing in the thread about the bug, that mics could really use a lot of bandwidth I think we should try with mics off, I don't mean turn the mic off, but set the room to mics disabled.

If we do like planned, use a private lounge for practice in free run, we could of course have it on. It doesn't seem to affect rooms in free run. But when I set up the "race lobby" I disable it.

I still think a fixed ownership room is the way to go as a none fixed room ownership seems to use more bandwidth with more than 10 players than some of the guys in this championship have.
I did some speed testes and it seems to go down quite a bit when the distance is great or something else happens. Called my supplier about it and they said speedtest was a great tool, but not always really reliable. I tested download speed when I downloaded a file from USA and could get almost full speed. During test on speedtest you can see it's not even close so I guess they have a point.

Yes let's give it a try and get our season started , where there is a will there is a way , mics disabled

Like I said earlier we need to make it work before anything gets started. That means EVERYONE needs to show up for testing. Not 12 or 13.. but 14 guys. We are all here to have fun and we are also here to win. And if I win because the rest of the field is crippled by this lag/bug or what ever it really is. Its not winning. It's a matter of luck. Then I go play the lottery instead.

So I suggest those who can't bother to be part of the testing to take a hike and leave us dedicated guys to our fun. I can understand guys with a valid reason so don't get me wrong anastasis and wishywish, but when people post things like IMMORTALPILOT did before our last test I get a bit angry disappointed. Made the test pretty much useless. :yuck:

Its difficult to get all people in for some testing so i also have an eye on other leagues. To know when its O.K. to drive and online-play is fixed. Of course it stays imported to keep testing also, becaus we have to know who's possibly causing problems, if there is someone whit a problem we can all help as much as we can.

Yes its important for everyone to show up so we can figure out what kind of problems are presented with each member of the league . For example that freezing issue on the false start screen and Netherdragon would seem to get kicked , he reset his connection twice and then it seemed to work fine after that .

So maybe its for us to have all guys here start a race or two figure out who has to reconnect and try again til its run smooth , we keep eliminating problems so we are on our way to a solution .

We just have to be a little patient .
