Falcon in the Raybrig won the Spa race at Euro GT500 a while back with though competition. I finished 2nd behind him then, memories are still fresh hehe... So I'll be keeping my eyes on him during the race. :dopey:

I remember that race very well, then I sprained my ankle 3 days afterwards which ruled my out of the rest of the season...

One of the best GT5 races I've ever had.:)

Been checking some replays of our pre season race and I must say I'm impressed with the cleanness of the driving. I haven't really said anything about what we expect, but people drove really nice.

Some cases I like to hightlight is that in the first race Blue flag was ignored a bit, hard track to be lapped, but still something to remember in the future.
Obviously we don't have blue flag, but it's not that hard to understand you being lapped.

And on GVS some one used the pavement after the S turns before the last corner as a regular run off area. This is not part of the track and would have been penalized during a championship race. If you keep at least two wheels on the red and white curb it's allowed and I'm not hunting down people going wide there one or two times, but when its every lap or almost every lap I would have reacted.

Example:

No doubt outside the track.

This is allowed, (on the limit yes) I can see the angle of the car that it have been outside, but if you go this wide and no further it will be allowed. 1mm more and its not allowed.

I know someone accept using this area, but we count the curb as track when there is a curb. If no curb exist we use the white line as the track edge. The area outside is not part of the track.

I also have to admit I found myself outside the track a few times and this is not meant as anything else than information.

Just a heads up before our season start.

Good post right there Erik , I was going to mention that idea of posting some pictures to point it out. Good work mate .

Heading home from work , all day I been thinking about sector 2 of Spa , I really enjoy driving sector 2 with good tires .

I should be on for practice around 4 pm BST

About TS.

If any team want a team channel on teamspeak you can get it, just let me know and I set up a channel for you. If you want to share setup with your team mate, but not with everyone else. Or if you want to really race as a team it could be cool to actually work like a team also ;)

I know TeamSpeak have a whisper function where you can add your team mate to a whisper "shortcut key" and even if your in the channel everyone else are, you only talk to your team mate. But you might be disturbed with everything else going on in the channel.

Just a thought I had.

I'm in the lounge but not on TS yet , on a phonecall will be there soon

It got a bit lonely by myself so I logged out , see you guys soon

Does anyone have any tips for tuning, I'm a bit stuck on what to do. I've no idea what to do with Spring Rate, Compression (and the other one), Anti - Roll bars.

Also, how do you tune the individual gears, what does changing them actually do?

I am pretty much the same(bad) when it comes to tuning. When it comes to Toyota's, i have no knowledge about tuning it. I don't always understand the gearratio's but what i basically do whit the Lexus/NSX/GTR is putting the topspeed to 200km/u, then i adjust the final gear until i hit the reds at the end of the longest straight of the track. Its nothing special but it can't be bad. Atleast i think so, Probably a good tuner would not agree on that.
second i take the downforce to maximum. All others settings are standard.
Then i start drive "ALOT" until i know how to drive fast on the track. For example: it did take a while before i realised why i lost 1.5 seconds in qualify-pace on sector one of GVS. It was nothing more then taking the S-turn at full speed. were i usual lift the throttle a little. Those things seems to be importent to know becaus the little things means u gain or lose alot of time.
After i am starting to know the track i start to tune. I start With doing small things. a bit less camber a bit less spring rate or make your car a bit more stiff dependig on track. Always change one or two things test it. Keep the setup if your car feels better or your times improve. if not change it back and try something else. Usual i do does this for several houres or even more each saturday.

Maxi thats pretty much what I do, but I sometimes have a setup which is slow, change one thing which makes it slower. Then I change it back and its even slower again!!

I'm actually putting more effort in my setups this season , I'm making 3 setups for each track and I will use the one which gives me the best times overall .

I usually run 10 lap races by myself and write down all the lap times then compare them for each setup and choose my main setup from there .

These cars are very good on stock settings so sometimes changing it too much will end up hurting you , I think setups are something which is all up to the driver and not the car , that's why when people trade setups the results aren't usually what they expected .

I'm from Bergamo, Italy. Do you play F1 2011-12 online? Maybe you have met me there. Always in a Ferrari.:D

No didn't play it much. The numbers (3101) are fimilar. My good racing buddie had a similar name.

gorsad and ArtMannn if you like I can add your real name to the list, optional of course, but list looks a bit strange with two openings there! ;)

And does ArtMannn and anastasis14 want to team up with the DENSO?
