ICGTC Season 4 - Ended

Maxi and Erik had great tire. wear with the Motul last season , I think Immortal struggled last night because he had no clean air for majority of his stints.

I saw the replay Immortal , your tire wear was bad but that was because you did a lot of sliding in the dirty air .

Well I also was a bit surprised about how the dirty air actually was more noticeable now, maybe it was the last update or maybe that going from medium to hard made it. But it's a factor you have to adept to. Some do, others obviously don't.

I gave the car in front more air so I could save my tyres a bit and then attacked when I could. Couldn't attack on each corner and I believe it makes racing more of a challenge and more real.

Also this track like nissman said have always been hard on tyres and you have to be aware of it before you go out pushing like a madman. I remember Netherdragon from last time we used this track. It was actually fun to listen to him when he had absolutely no tyres left.

GVS is a track that's hard on tires regardless of what car you were using , tire wear is all about driving style and how hard you push , throttle control etc

Look at Gonzalez tire wear last night , he deserves a medal for the way he can make tires last .

OK i vote my car then to the to the select time.
Erik when you see the replay my tyre waer was absolutly the worst from all drivers.
It was not possible to drive a race with this tyre wear.

Funny how Erik and Maxi generally had great tyre wear last season, and you're complaining about bad tyre wear at one of the most tyre-wear happy tracks in GT5.

It would be far more impressive to see you drive something other than a Yellowhat for once, just to prove you aren't a one-trick pony ;)

I'm back home now , lovely weather in England this week .

Anyone want to go online for some Spa practice ?

Yeah I hate what happened yesterday, my throttle pedal just gave out and was spiking so much it was unraceable. I'm probably going to call logitech today cause everything I did didn't work, I tried contact cleaner but I can't really get in the pots at all, so I'll see what they have to say and I'll get new pots or something maybe. Also I messed up my spring so now I have to use the sponge trick lol.

Car selection have now started

Updated car list in the OP

The number to the left show how many cars left (I will try to stay on top of it when the cars being picked), but if I haven't striked out a car that been selected twice it will still be unavailable.

To select a car. just type the name of it. Just the main sponsor of the car is enough.. Example Raybrig, Denso. If your choice is the Yellowhat you will have to type GTR or Supra next to it.

I hope for a spread out car selection as most cars have the qualities to go fast.

Car Selection is open I assume.

I'm a reserve but when I drive I'll take the YELLOWHAT GTR.

Thats kinda to late now. if he doesn't want to drive the Woodone. And yes it's kinda the point to be here yourself.

What track are we racing on in the next race? And is it still a preseason race or does the season start. I tried to find a season schedule but I dont see it in the OP.

We do another pre season race, but this time with the car we got from this car selection and the track will be SPA (28 laps)

Season start the weekend after that.

Next race is Spa , that's the last pre season race .

The first race of the season will be Fuji F , I'm sure the full calendar will be added to the OP soon

It's in the work, some small adjustments to the laps we do. We have talked about some endurance races during the season and I try to make it work.

I didn't intend to, we don't do a leaderboard, pre season races were meant to be more of a car testing races than actual races. Also no success ballast added to those who finished on the podium ;)

I see.

Need to buy a Motul now and break it in. Then need to start working on tyre wear as I hear the Motul has the worse tyre wear of all. ;)

If I'm not mistaken, my 2nd exam we were talkin about is now on Saturday instead of Sunday, meaning I will be available to race at night :)
Since no GT-R's are left I think I make my transfer onto Lexus, let's pick the first one, the DENSO

And about the tyrewear. For me personely i have bad front tyre-wear becaus of the hard tyre.
I think Pilot misjudged his lack of practise after the last update. His mojo or setup didn't work like usual. just a thought.

I tested the Motul, Xanavi and Yellowhat on diffrent tracks before and after the update. the tyrewear is even, at least for me.

Ok, I'm putting in a car change to the Eneos Lexus!
Gosard if you want, team up with me in this chassis?

We all know it Maxi, but someones ego is just to big. Thanks for posting the results. I have my head on something else these days.

Anyway I opened up my wheel and I think I have to change the fan itself as the wheel bearings inside the fan seem to have gone dry or something. It's the fan getting hot. But had it open, did some measurement and have to order in a fan, I will also add some custom fans to it as all the heat have to be pushed away by one small 60x60x20mm fan.

I love that Immortal-DNF-Bad Tyres , lol

He will be fast at Spa so let's see how Nissman does in the Motul .

Anyone set any times at Spa yet ? Last season we were doing 2 10's on soft and 2 12s on mediums , yesterday I ran a 2 16 on the hard tires .

Let me know if anyone is faster than 2 16s so far at Spa
