1:12.8 is my best, and I think it was clean ;)

but usually 1:14.. I guess its my race pace.

I've done a 1 13 0 so far , consistent with 1 13s

Have a bit more pace to find as my car isn't broken in yet :)

Oh and hey Skendigi I was in a race with you with either my BRONCO or my original Dragonwar233 account. You passed me on the last lap after 1 hour and 30 minutes at Suzuka with Stis versus Evos. Just checking if you remember racing me, I only remember it because it was one of my first GTP hosted races and I almost won.

Yes mate I do remember , It was a risky move I made so lucky I pulled it off , It was raining that entire race , I'm not a big fan of the rain but it wasnt very hard in those 4wd cars.

Your a good driver its good to see you here , I hope you enjoy the league , its the best league Ive driven in so far , this is my 2nd full season.

Yes ill be around , see you there

Hopefully I can break in my car before raceday , trying to do it without b spec

We will leave a room open as the last race of the season. If Motegi gets available it will be added, if not we do a dry Suzuka race.

I hit some 14s but 15s seem to be the average time, I was able to last I think like 20 laps on one set of tires but my lap times got slow.

I did my 1:12.8 on low fuel, my best on one stint is 1:13.3.

It's a tricky track to go fast really, but if you make the car flow around the track you will just go faster and faster. Do not brake late and think it will save time, you lose it all on the exit of the corner. Sacrifice some entry speed to get much better exit speed. It's a ABC track for racing or more correct hot lapping. Slow in fast out. But don't brake to hard either, try maximize your speed around the corners. Also the roundabout or what we could call the more than 180 degree corner is a must to get correct. You can lose a lot of time here.
In the race you might have to brake late and sacrifice the lap time to stay ahead or to try over take some, but racing and hot lapping is two different things if your not in the lead and have the opportunity to drive away

It's a track we have in the pre season to see if it can be a decent track for our calender, next weekend we will have Gran Valley. A track we know will work, but it could be fresh to try something new.

On another note I'm really glad to see so many new faces signing up to our pre-season race. It's a great opportunity to learn each other to know on the track a bit before the season.
When I race against the guys I know, I know what to expect and we can go side by side on the most narrow tracks without being dirty, but when I see someone I haven't raced before I would rather yield because I have no idea how that guy react to me being closer than he though was possible.

Looking forward to the season now and the last spot is still open.

How do you get on low fuel, can I set it before hand (so I can start on low fuel). The roundabout corner is really irritating, I either go too slow or too fast.

Interesting that the spec's are the same, makes me glad 'cause it means you all had a great time with them last season. We have new slightly altered spec's (1.1) you can try out if you'd like. Otherwise I'm sure it'll be good as is.

But I'm interested in getting a summary from Mr. Andre and the drivers on what their conclusion was of the performance of the field of cars through out the season - weak points, strong points, suggestions, it'd be great to read.

Hope you all have another awesome season, Erik runs the best dedicated GT500 series out there.

Cheers.

I think the specs are great , the racing was very close .

I think the only thing that could be adjusted is the Lexus , in my opinion it seemed to cope with the success ballast better than other cars ( possibly because it has the most torque )

Its hard to give a fair judgment because we only had 2 Lexus drivers last year and we also used racing soft and medium . Being on the racing hard this season I think will give us better analysis.

The Nissan seems to be the best in the corners compared to the other cars, the EPSON Honda was the worst, but it's higher BHP makes up for that.

Well you've got that pretty much right. The GT-R's not the fastest in the corners per se, just more stable feeling and a bit more on the loose side, that's why we threw 30kg of weight on them, same for the SC's although they've got the Turbo to work with.

All of the NSX's are pretty much handfuls in the corners of course.

But it did seem pretty close, I kept an eye on the thread, DA also used PURE spec's and they seemed to have slightly different results between them since they mostly races on R3's. The NSX really dominated there because the softs gave the drivers a lot more confidence. Could even just be a mental thing.

The SC's definitely my flavor though, I regret picking the Calsonic in JGTS when I did so well with the Denso in WSGTC 2. But it just suits my driving style more.

But yeah, looking over the tracklist real quick, it's skewed toward NSX dominance. Too many straight line cars. I'd suggest you lower the HP on the NSX's by a step for it to not be so drastic. Track balance is key, so either you alter the specs or replace a couple faster tracks with twistier ones

Hello Eddie, the specs did in my opinion favor the NSX on the straight and when we used the two softer compound it made it a bit to powerful. Still we didn't have any dominance from it since its used the tyres to quick with the very powerful torque. Some managed it better than others, but like we all know the NSX is a handful to be consistent in.
Also the Lexus was really hard to keep up with in a GT-R out of corners, the torque and grip of the car really was enough to get a good lead out of corners and that made it hard to overtake on most tracks.

The 30kg is staying, it make the ballast system way better as the GT-R and the Lexus handle success ballast way better than the NSX.

All in all we have discussed it and we are now limiting tyres to racing hard as medium and soft wasn't the best with these specs in my opinion. But we try the specs one more time. It' really isn't fair to judge the specs as some of those driver in the NSX and Lexus might have had a really well worked out setup, but from a GT-R drivers view it seemed a bit to powerful on the two softer compound.

And thanks a lot for saying I or we run the best GT500 series out there, it really means a lot.

I have looked into the track list myself and with the experience from season 3 it was only Monza witch really was a NSX dominated track, rest of the tracks have a sector or two that turns a lot more than some chicanes. Laguna Seca clearly isn't the best for the NSX so that's balance out Monza.

Also the car specs make for a more interesting car selection as all the cars are very competitive and we had GT-R dominance in the car selection through season 1 and 2. Now you really have to take the GT-R to the limit to stay competitive throughout the season. Looking at IMMORTALPILOTs driving it really show it still pretty much competitive.

I think the Racing Hard will balance the specs a bit compared to medium witch was our prime tyre and soft as a option tyre in season 3.
