Just as the title says; if you could go anywhere in the world, but you had to pick one thing, or person to go with you, and had to leave at this very moment, where would you go?

Place I've been before: Iceland's Blue Lagoon
Place I've not been to yet: The Seychelles

And my wife.

For a visit? Iceland. I really want to see all that volcanic/tectonic activity. To live? Anywhere in Great Britain will do me fine.

And I'd bring some money.

I want to see a Black Mamba in person.

You can do that in America, if you didn't know. Just make sure you're close to anti-venom and life support.

If it was a trip that would last long enough for us to plan and prepare, I'd go to Russia with my climbing buddy to climb Mount Elbrus.

If it was a shorter trip, Norway with my girlfriend.

There are plenty of places you wouldn't or shouldn't want to live in. I live in one of those for a start and there are plenty worse than here.

Hmm.

That is between Wake Island and Japan. Wake because it is pretty much a massive beach and Japan because I love the country and culture.

But then I believe you can't go to Wake without prior permission or if it is an emergency so Japan it is for a trip I am actually considering.

Anywhere far enough south so I could see the "Southern Cross" in the sky. Why I don't know just like the song. Almost any version, who would I like to go with Jimmy Buffett and his Seaplane. Never been on a seaplane (just don't want to be near Jamaica in his plane they may try shooting him down again).

People have already said Iceland, but I'll say it again. Amazing place. Or maybe somewhere in the Bay Area of CA.

If it was right here and now, and it was not going to be the only thing I ever did on Planet Earth, I'd take off to New Zealand. Alone. Just need a good bike.

But what I want to do, and what I have to do are usually two different things. :)

Place I have been Santa Monica CA
Place I have never been Le Mans France.
Both would Take my wife and kids.

I know, but it's just not the same as seeing one in it's homeland in the wild. I absolutely hate snakes and am terrified of them, but it's one thrill I just want to experience before I die. It'll probably never happen though.

EDIT:

If Hawaii was cooler in temperature, I'd go there.

Anywhere, well it would probably be Australia. It just seems so much nicer than the UK. My dad went there for a year in the late 80's and said Perth was very nice so that is probably where I would go in Australia.

Exactly this. I am, in fact, going to New Zealand early next year to go riding and hiking and whatnot.

But if I had to go somewhere right this moment, I'd pick Australia. I've been there a couple of times and I'm dying to go back.

I would love to visit the Arctic, bordering on the north of Canada to see the wolves in their own. To see them in the wild, untouched, unharmed, would be beautiful. There are few places to me that could come close to topping that.

I'd go to Russia with my climbing buddy to climb Mount Elbrus.

You're talking about me, right? :P

👍

If I should leave right this moment, I think I would go to the Faroe Islands, alone. I've always been fascinated by it's nature, plus it's not that far away from Denmark.

Just to visit would have to be Tokyo, and also to head out the mountains above.

To live, I guess it would have to be either New Zealand or Iceland, somewhere that is relatively unspoilt by people.

For visiting, probably Montreal or Indianapolis.

To live, I'd pick Fairbanks, Alaska.

To visit, Tasmania. Take the car; there's some amazing roads and amazing scenery there.

To live, I have absolutely no idea. Perth is incredibly tempting, as is Far North Queensland.

Denmark, I really want to go there and I'm kicking myself for not doing it when I was in the UK for my study abroad semester.

To live? I haven't really been to many places to say for sure, but I really like the Toronto Metro Area and I'd imagine I'd like living there.

Italy. I haven't left the United States yet and I've always wanted to go to Europe, but particularly Italy.

Hawaii's too hot.

Wants to go to Africa.

Does not compute.

My wife wants to go on a Pride and Prejudice tour so while she was doing that, I'd find my way to Famine's place for some UKGTPrandomRomannumeral racing action.

I'd like to go to the Vatican and also visit the grave of Fred Bastiat in Rome. Would also like to go back to Munich and Austria. I did most or all of my traveling as a child. Would be neat to go back to all the places now that we have smartphones and ubiquitous internet. Would've been awesome to have that technology back then. I wouldn't have been held hostage by a toilet cleaning lady had I known taking a **** wasn't free. Google Translate for Android would have been immeasurably helpful.

I also would like to drive all the Initial D mountains in Japan in either the spring or the fall-- whenever the trees are the most beautiful.

To live - Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee. It's where my dad lives, and I absolutely love it there.

To visit - Hmm, that's a tough one. I was originally thinking the Cayman Islands, but I think I'd rather visit somewhere different like London or England in general since I've already been to the Cayman Islands.

To live- I like where I am, the east coast is good enough.
To visit- I would love to visit japan.

Live: Any part of New Jersey where I don't have to worry about getting shot or seeing people with orange tans.

Visit: Kyoto
