Except that's not prejudice. He's stating a fact, that half of the Canadians, Australians and Britons here are nearly illiterate. Even if it is inaccurate, which I'm not sure, it's not prejudice. "All Canadians and Australians and Britons are illiterate" would be the steriotype.

1. its open to interpretation
2. its easy to take that view point if you are American
3. it implies that the fact (however inaccurate) is not applicable to America.

its a prejudiced view

This is what you had to say in response to the question "Is America really that bad?"

"We rule and you don't. It's that simple."

that post sums up america for the rest of the world...

its this bull**** 'dont hate me because i'm beautiful' attitude...

love me, coz if you dont we'll kick your ass...

america sees itself as the champion of good causes...protecting every other country in the world against terror...the bringer of joy, culture, peace, art, philisophy....we'll wipe out blacks, arabs, irish, french, germans, indians and any other slimey scum you want us to....just ask...thats what we are here for...

but please, please...be grateful to us....

america, the most powerful country in the world...thats what they said about ancient Egypt, then Greece, then Rome....who would have dared rise up against a nation that ruled all the known world...then the Spanish conquests...the British Empire...the Nazi Regime and now its America's turn....who next?....well, waiting in the wings is it China? they dwarf the US with their massive army and well trained assault troops...or India with its nuclear warheads with the west firmly with its sights.....what goes around come around and arrogance seeks out a slap in the face...

So we're all a bunch of stupid conceited bully racist murders?

Of course you don't! Because, as ///M-spec has so concisely illustrated, you're covered by the "America is always wrong" clause. That guarantees that what anyone non-American believes is the truth, not a stereotype.

ExigeExcel, the problem with "learning to deal with it" is that when somebody dislikes the English stereotype, they make fun of your dental hygiene and your cooking. When somebody dislikes the American stereotype, they accuse us of imperialism and start blowing up our embassies, businesses, ships, and even anything they just suspect we happen to like.

There's a slight difference.

i havent said America is xyz or Americans are xyz...

i havent made any assumptions about America that havent already been voiced by Americans on this forum....

Give it up. You've been caught miles off base. You have no desire to modify your attitude or do anything to reduce your blindered ignorance. You revel in it. So admit that fact and stop trying to deny you're doing precisely what you criticize Americans for doing.

why should i? ... because you say so?

anyway..i thought you werent going to waste any more milliwatts of brain power on me....

your arrogance and holier-than-thou attitude is a testament to all that has been said about Americans..

No, you shouldn't do it because I say so. You should want to for your own benefit, satisfaction, and desire for self-improvement.

You're welcome to think I'm arrogant; I can't do anything about that and in fact I couldn't care less. BUT, whether you choose to admit it or not, I have an open mind and I am continually refining my thinking on nearly all subjects.

I don't believe you can truthfully say the same.

Like I said. Just because we're all victims of arrogant people making prejudiced statements at some time or another doesn't make it ok to perpetuate them yourself.
