The Prelude isn't rice either. Thats a Mugen front, complete with JDM foglights, along with Mugen side and rear skirts, not to mention the Mugen spoiler. If you consider that rice, then pass me a huge bowl and some chop sticks cause me rikey rong time.

I can't see any ricers on this page. Alot of people on this forum seem to be really sensitive when it comes to seeing a tuned Japanese car.

I see ricers!!!!

Well, besides the RS*R Drift car, the white S2000, and the del sol.

*Yawn* Explain to all of us how they are 'riceboy' cars. :)

Here's a few more:

Now THAT is rice..:yuck: 👎 :grumpy:

edit: it even has M3 mirrors O_O

edit2: got a pic of that nice looking S2k in the back?

i think you forgot about the rims and mirrors.. oh and the ugly spoiler wich the F(cked)430 has to...

who has photos of the Top End NSX's?

That NSX = Rice. Sorry to say. Rims, doors, spoiler, and mirrors. Plus that kit is meh for the back.

Fairlady, I have to agree with your on people thinking a good car is a Pontiac Grand Prix. A lady I work with thinks Pontiac and GM are great, and refers to import cars as "cheap foreign crap." And then goes on about how I am crazy to like Toyota because their cars have problems running. Or something.

Top that off, she claims her Supercharged Grand Prix GTP gets almost 30 mpg... and has no problems. Its just about to break the 100,000 mile mark. Thats about when the engine falls out of the car for them right? :P

I have a buddy that works in a shop here that can tell you some pretty interesting stories on some pontiacs he has seen come in his shop. (Particularly how many he has seen with snapped control arms..clean off, no stress marks.)
(edit: I should really go out and take pictures of the local junkyards here, Im talking ALOT of late nineties/early 2000 gm bodies sitting around..why? Cause its better to buy a new car than an engine. If your stupid enough to get another gm.)

Alittle off topic:

Last week I got a company car while on a business trip to my corporate headquarters...

It was a PT cruiser. I felt like a giant tool driving that car around.

That Del Sol is not rice. And I doubt that S2000 is either.
Those are the cars I said wern't rice. The other ones though are.

For example, the black/red S2000 - Fender scoop things, what are they for? to extract the extreme heat from the tires? What about the scoop at the bottom of the sideskirt with the mesh inside it. What does that do? What about the vents facing rearward in the hood? I don't see any ducts inside the front bumper leading up there. And the wheels, most likely cheap replicas or some other wheel, they don't look like a high quality wheel at all.

Orange/black S2000 - Front bumper, does that last scoop on the edge lead anywhere? From the size of it, I'm pretty sure there isn't even a hole cut out for it. And again, the wheels, what kind of high quality performance wheel look like that?

Prelude - Isn't so bad, but what will a heavy fwd car ever be competetive in?

Yellow Legend - *cough* hood scoop *cough*. Gauges on the A-Pillars. I'll bet that's a thermometer and a clock. He has everything else he needs in front of the steering wheel.

I think this 'rice' thing gets taken alittle too far.

Well, the body kit is alittle questionable but its not way overdone like the usual picture I get in my head when thinking of 'ricers', plus going by that intercooler it has some extra performance to back it up.

Now it appears like you are having problems picking out ricer features and are getting way too picky, that front bumper works well for that car as it has nice placements for a large intercooler, oil cooler and air duct for the intake and or brakes. I wouldn't disreguard the whole useful front bar and call it rice cause some extra little vents.

Once again going by that intercooler it was not just designed for show.

Yellow Legend - *cough* hood scoop *cough*.

It may be functional but probably not, just like the scoops on this hood

Gauges on the A-Pillars. I'll bet that's a thermometer and a clock. He has everything else he needs in front of the steering wheel.

I'm not sure what the Legend has on its stock dash but usually not enough for my liking with modified cars. In that A pillar gauge cluster it could have important things like a oil pressure gauge (a good one many factory ones are rubbish if they have one at all), boost pressure gauge etc etc, you don't know so I can't see how you hold that against it.

That is weird, unless the door is at a different angle than the quarter panel, it shouldn't do that. It looks a lighter shade in all of the pics. Maybe it's made of a different metal, and it does something to the paint?
