Last I checked the point of a speed hump was to slow you down. Not see how fast you can get over them.

Really? Wow you certainly got me there. I'm glad you are on these boards to clear that pressing issue up for me.

Even going over them slow I would knock the front airdam hence why I posted I had issues with them.

I've owned a lowered vehicle (albeit it was only dropped 7 inches), it isn't fun. And no I never jumped sidewalks with it but I had problems on speed humps and anything other then flat driveways. It looks cool but it's practical for a daily.

I thought you've only had a Blazer before?

I drove a mate's car today.. Drove it like I drive my own cars, over speedbumps at 5 mph :) You really get used to driving low rides.

I did have a Blazer, it was lowered though. I've owned other cars as well but they all were stock height.

I should say that what i'm talking about is the spot where the sidewalk slopes down to the road for a driveway. There's a nice peak between the sidewalk and driveway, (It slopes away from the road, while the sidewalk at that point slopes towards it) and it'll high-center your car easy if you have it too low.

Now, it's not like I'm completely against lowering, but if a certain someone'd stop talking about it ad nauseum...

That? That's nothing...

I'm talking something about 10 degrees from vertical on street side, and 20 degrees on the other, with at least a 4-in drop. Probably more like 6. And it continues to slope at around 5-degrees on that 20 degree side.

A lowered Mustang lost it's exhaust on this thing. Those cars would be high-centered. and if that doesn't screw something up, the 3-inch drop onto the brick path will finish the job.

Again, my car isn't THAT low, but in any case, you just learn what to avoid. If that's the only way in, you park somewhere else and walk for a bit.

Well, I dont mind it being THAT low...I just get tired of people harping on about slamming cars ad nauseum. Same thing happened to me with Audis and SEATs.

More pictures to take the thread back on track instead of argueing about low cars :sly: And more Hondas, because I like Hondas.

The 1300 Coupe 9S. You may recognise it from GT4, though it's pretty rare in the game and even rarer in real life. It was also staggeringly advanced for circa-1970 when it was produced, it's 1300cc producing 116bhp at 7300rpm. It's great fun to drive in the game, and I can't believe it's too bad in real life either! Sorry for the generally small pics, I could pretty much only find small pics.

The car was essentially replaced by the first-generation Civic.

It's amazing to see these cars race. I admire the drivers because it took alot of effort for them to keep these cars on the road.
Look at how much they lean in the corners and the ultra small tires. lol

I might be wrong, but that looks like Bathurst. I guess the Hardie Ferodo 500 sticker on the other picture of that car is a bit of a give-away too...

You're correct, it's Bathurst. I can't remember where I originally found those pictures now (they're all hosted on my photobucket) but there was a short article about them racing there.

Back in the Glory days of Australian racing! Before we were confined to just Ford and Holden....

It's amusing that all your pictures of the 1300 coupe besides one is Australian

And the last wiki pic is from my state.

Oh and something look very odd about that NSX....

Thats the nicest NSX Ive seen! If they all looked like that Honda would be raking in the cash instread of droping the car. The wheels look very nice, similar to the one's on the Enzo...

Could be the fact it's wide-body?

Not just the wide body but the whole car cry's 'toy' to me, the wheels look like sometime of of every second VS Commodore you see around (thanks Jack ;) ) which could very well have 'ROH' printed on them, it looks like he added plastic bits everywhere he could, overall it just doesnt look right to me.

Four of those NSX photos I've posted before (those from Nico Tjen's 'NSX GT' downwards, omitting the black version), but I guess its impossible to keep tabs pn what cars have been posted in this gigantic thread. After all these years, those NSX are still amazingly sexy.

Great website (carwallpapers.com) too.
All these pictures makes for a great screen saver. :D
