Homeforsummer. Go out. Buy. Mod. Win.

So they only allow R-comps for time attack. How bout that. I also sent Tire Rack an email asking if they know when the A050 will be available here, lol.

R compounds offer way more grip than a regular DOT radial... it's not the fact they only allow it, it's the fact they're much grippier and that gives you better lap times. HKS didn't bust out 53 second laptimes at Tsukuba with AD07's...

I typed in "bmw compact schnitzer" in google and a link came up to the flickr page of whoever owns that one 👍

Though I quite like these others that I found on google too:

(Yes, I know there's an E46 in there... and the others are probably reposts)

Subtle is definitely the way to go with Compacts (or rally-style like the green one!). Indeed, BMWs in general.

You'll find me in disagreement. For E36s, my personal ranking would be: Compact, saloon, coupe, tourer, cabrio. E90 would be saloon, tourer, coupe, cabrio. With the E46, saloon, coupe, compact, tourer, cabrio. And with the E30, coupe, tourer, saloon, cabrio.

Basically, I'm not keen on cabrios, indifferent on coupes, don't mind tourers, like saloons and like compacts!

Anyway, have some E90s...

Aight, I didn't know if they had any special categories for different classes of tire.

Also, 3-series Compacts are sweet.

I think they look quite a bit better than this horrid thing...

No silly wing, no 18" chrome wheels, no outerspace bodykit, no fart can, no flashy paint... Simple, or simply put, perfect.

That's easily one of the best Civics I've seen 👍 Great find. I like the choice of steering wheel, it's unusual but works perfectly and suits the car.

That grey Integra in the 12th pic looks pretty nice too.

I'll third this. Very very awkward looking car.

Meh. One's meat is another's poison. When the E36 Compact came out I was 9 years old and wasn't keen back then, but given a further 15 years to deliberate they've grown on me hugely to the point where a nice 318ti Sport is one of my favourite BMWs.

No, not really. I'd take a 135i coupe over a E36 compact any day.

I'd take one of these if they ever offered one:

What's that Charade got? A CB70? Or turbocharged 1300? Man they're sweet, I wish I had room/money for all these cars that catch my attention.

KE70 days.. :) I was sideways in mine ten minutes ago.. Never seen bumpers like the ones on the white one.

I don't know that much about *E70s to the extent of different bumpers, can't help there. Theres a KE70 that rolls around local to me that has a for sale sign in the window. It keeps tempting me. I'd probably get sick of 60hp though.....
