Found this pic, not exactly an import but it has to go in here, as this one of the best threads I've seen on the whole internet (apart from the picky kids, the nerds and all the bitching, but that's gtp for ya).

đź‘Ť Lol, that's too funny man.
I guess you could call that a bagged grocery getter. :dopey:

Speaking of bags, I already posted about that GTI I drove that is legitimately slammed. He mentioned to me how he came in second place at some meet in the "lowest car" category because some dick rolled in their in his own Golf and proceeded to park, hit the switches, and drop his airbags until the fenders sat on top the tires. It's like, dude, you just rolled in here at stock ride height, and my buddy drove in here scraping his skid plates the whole way, leaving marks in the dirt behind him, and he drives it every day like that. So take your airbags and GTFO.

They're the new trend I guess, but it's cheating in my opinion. Airbags should be reserved for luxury cars and semi trailers.

Hey Keef, not to be off subject but where did you get your picture of the Honda Civic in your avatar?
I owned an '83 Civic and your avatar reminds me of what I could've done with mine were it not for my room mate totalling it out.
Thanks man.

When this Joey started this "know your roots" thing, I remembered an article that was in Sport Compact Car a couple years ago about a guy and his son who raced an old Civic. The car was a monster. It took me forever to find the article online because SCC's website has been taken offline, but I found it here on Honda Tuning. There's a few more interesting pics of the old beast.

Thanks Keef. Great pictures and I saved many from the site.
And yeah, with a Civic that weighed so little, I'm sure that the power to weight ratio was phenomenal.

It seems the new one is lacking the "mean" that the last generation had. And it also doesn't seem as friendly to hugely wide wheel and tire combos.

The only thing I don't like about it is the dual exhaust.

That Subaru is sex.

Wheels looked like Volks, but the cap says Prodrive. A little bit of googling suggests their Subaru wheels, though.

They look a lot more like the Gram Lights 57Optimise, actually.

It's too bad their 5x100 fitment sucks, because I'd pick up a set of those 57O's in a heartbeat.

Nearly all the corolla guys do that and i've never really looked into why. I'm not sure if there is a mounting issue with the trueno bumper or whether it's just for looks.
That way they can just drive up to a track event, snip the zip ties and remove the front bumper. Just saves a lot of time.

Also, in the quite likely event of them bouncing over kerbs or going for a trip into the infield the bumpers come off easier if they are only done up with zip ties and are sometimes even reuseable.

I'm not sure if I love this or not....

Bloody Auszoku, that car isn't really boso. Some styling cues reminiscent of it but only mildly.
