That would be a KA24, not the SR20.

Nope....for us in Oz it's DEFINITELY the SR20, we barely have an aftermarket for the KA24 and barely anyone touches Honda's here. :) Add a 3" exhaust to any S13/S14/S15 and you'll see what I mean. The RB26 has a truck sound too WHEN the mufflers are removed. :mischievous:

Then you add all the boxer rumbles from WRX's all over our country with uneven 3" exhausts. ;)

Leo - The RX7's are NOT FB's. The early RX7's (Series 1,2,3) are called the SA series. ;) Then you have FC for Series 4 & 5 then FD from Series 6 on.

Take off the stickers, lose the bonnet duct and cover up that radiator and that would look pretty sweet. Looks so much better without a spoiler IMO.

Unfortunately, the only combo I really think makes the Supra look best is the typical drag look; high up with the butt, low nose, black, drag tires at the rear, and either the stock wing or this one:

I really really like that wing, it's the only one that looks good on it besides the stock one, although stock is best on a Supra.

These are some examples how a Supra should be:

Nothing better than a Supra performing a deep squat 👍

I feel I might be in a minority here but Supras really don't do anything for me :indiff: They've never seemed as special as other Japanese sports cars like the RX-7 or NSX.

First models were branded as SA22C that later became branded as FB.

Maybe different model names for different regions too?? I know here in Oz they are the SA's. :)

1981 or 2 (if memory serves) the US swapped to a longer VIN code which made the RX-7 a JM1FB. Rest of the world they were still SAs though.

Not yet, maybe later if someone puts up more pictures of that meet...

Oh, and, here's something I never thought I would have seen one day. I went to a round of the Canadian Drift Championship today, heavy rain all day long so the conditions were quite slippery and led to a few crashes along the way.

That was this morning:
dmcc02.jpg

Minutes after, he crashed head on into a concrete wall coming out of a turn during the practices, the whole front end was bent out of shape, the frame rails were bent, there really was no hope to fix that car and get him back out there.

And then this happened.. and I absolutely have no idea how he did it and how the intercooler and radiator somehow manage to still serve their purpose:

It involved a lot of cutting and rewelding on the piping to make it work again, and their efforts were well paid with a 2nd place finish at the end of the day.

I think PB was referring to the KA24 actually being a truck engine, not just sound and you right about Hondas here, hardly anyone even looks at them (besides NSX).

Hmm, interesting. I quite like the conversion, strangely enough.

So do I. I've seen pictures before of Del Sols with front end conversions. Let's see if I can find them...

Ah ha:

Old CRX (I think... though the more I look at it the more they look like R34 Skyline lights...):

I think they all work pretty well. The blue one with the EK front and wheels from the Si works very well.

And another picture I've just found on my computer, a Del Sol cabrio:

I'm not a huge fan of del-sols, I think they're a bit of a hairdresser's car. But I spotted this one while looking through used car ads. Looks rather nice.

Slammed Volvo 240? Uh oh, Greycap is going to have a fit.. he just raised his own 240 wagon because it was too low. I think the springs were dead..

I've always quite liked them. That black one does look good, though is that a spoiler on the back or just the boot lid half-raised? If it's a spoiler then it's epic fail.

It is a spoiler. I wouldn't say it fails epically but one man's spoiler is another man's tea tray, I grant you.

I just found this and not sure if it belongs here or the Questionable Modifications. I myself like it and honestly it looks clean and well done. And sorry if its been posted I don't remember it.

^It does seem to be well done, but for some reason it just doesn't seem "right." Like the front is too new for the rest of the car.
I like these kind of front end swaps most.

But that's just me. And here is a good looking MKII for fun.(More info and pics at eurotuner)

Hey I know this guy, he lives near me. He has had that car for a long time, unlike most import owners around here.

Oh and that S110 240RS is dreamy, though I think it was posted here before

I think I'll put up photos of our former car club. These pics were around 2002 so some cars have changed since then. ;)
(ie. 1/2 have been since sold, the others modified even further!! )

For the Initial D boys, try a 20Valve AE86.

Man I miss cruising with those boys and girls. :(

They're okay, but I prefer keeping the Golf front on the Golf and the Bora front on the Bora. Neither looks quite right with the other's front end, as the Golf is a fairly curvy car with a curvy front and the Bora a fairly boxy car with a boxy front.
