Thats one mean little hatch. The wing looks out of place, but it's acceptable because it actually functions

Agreed.
Having a wing on a fwd car is a necessity to keep the rear end planted at speed.
Without that wing in the back, you stand more of a chance to come out sideways coming into a corner because of the weight transfer going to the front of the car, leaving the rear end a bit light.
The wing will keep the rear planted enough to keep the rear down, planted, and able to keep the tires in full contact with the road for better cornering speed.
It's pretty much common sense.

You've seemingly never driven a FWD car at pace. For someone who apparently spends a lot of time at the track, i'm suprised how blinkered you are.

Sorry but where did i say it was a bad thing? or are you just making up your own explaination of what i'm saying now :)

I described the picture simple as that go and have a look it is a rear wing on a front wheel drive car.
 at you trying to squirm out of your mistake.

He said the wing functions, so it looking silly doesn't really matter. You tried to be a smartass by implying it didn't function at all, and now you've been called out on it.

You can't work your way out of this. You called the wing pointless on a FWD car, but as several people have pointed out, it is still very helpful. And it doesn't remove force on the front wheels, it just adds to the rear.

True and a fact:tup: i agree with this.:sly:.But can we stay on topic by posting cars because this is gonna lead to another pointless page or two subject.

Yeah the bold text was totally just a way to make sure nobody made any mistake that he was in fact simply describing the picture.

As someone on a forum I was reading once put it, "You go over a crest in a corner at the top of 3rd gear in a FWD car and let me know if you'd like another 200lb over the rear wheels."

Nice work on the NSX lego but not my style in the way it was done.
Such a curvaceous car as the NSX can never look good with a lego. :D
But the person that did this did some good work to make it happen. Kudo's.

My friend and I did this in his then new Mazda 3, back in 2006. We were going about 80, cornering nowhere near the limit. We slowly spun into the corner, with no hope of recovering at that speed, and ended up down the grass hill, backed into the rocks, with the left side wheels dipped a foot into a large pond.

Schwoo.

It was the same road as my exhaust video, if you remember that. The only difference is we continued over the crest at speed.
