Some great stuff there speed junkie 👍

The GTA is owned by one of the owners of Alfaholics... there's more details of the build here...

http://www.alfaholics.com/our-cars/restoration-project/

An Alfaholics GTA would go straight on my shopping list if I ever won the lottery... at £80k for a fully built car they are a bit beyond my budget at the mo! You can have them built with 200bhp+ 2.0l 16v twin sparks and trick suspension... make very, very nice historic race cars.

Niiice...

Way too much awesome in that last post!

May I kindly request some more NISMO 400R's? It has got to be without any doubt the best looking thing coming from Nissan next to the old Fairladies.

Ive posted a few before...it's kind of hard to find good ones but here are a few. Not sure if they are reposts though.

Another EPIC post Speed Junkie...

Particualrly liking the MK2 Escort, the Opel Ascona 400 and that super clean white Delta.

What's the green car... #8, about 50% glass, looks like it belongs on a Thunder Brids set or should be being driven by Dick Dastradley off Wacky Racers.

^Awesome.

400R.

What are the older green & white #69 race cars above?

The green epic thing, I have no idea. The 69 is a Porsche 917 from the old Sports Cars series, I believe.

If you mean the blue car with the watanabes it was a 1st gen Corolla and the yellow car is a Datsun Sunny.

And yes, MK2 Escorts are awesome as well...

No, I meant this one...

And thanks for more Mk2 pics 👍

A mate of mine had a Manta 400 replica when we were in our early 20's... had a Rover 3.5l V8 and a locked diff... it went like the proverbial off a shovel mostly very sideways

That's what Mike's looked like most of the time

Mike's was a basic 2.0l Manta with a 400 body kit and a mildy tuned Rover V8 under the hood. It was really hard to drive though as it had a tiny wheel and no power steering... possibly the heaviest steering of any car I've ever driven. Not so bad for Mike as he was built like a brick outhouse, but my forearms used to pump up after about 5 minutes of driving it. It made a fabulous noise and it was brilliant fun on gravel.

Looks like they still fetch good money... here's an ex Jimmy McRae one for sale at £56k that's described as 'used and unrestored'...

http://www.richardlepleyracing.com/prod5.asp?ID=278&offset=&prod_id=115&grpid=115&#prod_anchor

And found a nice site with loads of 2nd hand rally cars for sale... some lovely stuff on here...

Here's a beautiful MK2 running a Vauxhall 2.0l & 6 spd sequential (apparently cost >£90k to build!)

I'm inclined to say that S1s are the coolest wheels ever, especially with colored centers, and that they would look fantastic on an E30 with a custom barrel for that low low offset.

Do the 2-piece wheels come apart from the back?

EDIT: Looking at pics, they don't look like they come apart at all! The hell? How do they paint the centers if they don't come apart?

Question to the MX-5 lovers!

I want to start a project car and thought the MX-5 could be alot a fun, so I was looking at some on the internet and this came by...
http://link.marktplaats.nl/406163623

He says it's 1 of the 5000, special this that blabla. Is it true? Never seen this before..

It is true. Mazda made a limited run of proper MX5 coupes that were only sold in Japan. That's clearly one of them.

If you get one, I will be insanely jealous.

Don't be jealous, we want a project car and since it's limited I don't want to ruin a special car... You could import it though. It's a MX5/Miata specialist who import them himself..

Hidden hardware for the win. Rotiform has this as an option on a lot of their new wheels, and it looks great.

EDIT: Then again, these are three piece wheels so they're obviously different. but i think it's the same basic concept.

Cue hatez

I don't even like Silvia's or whatever they were called in the states, but I think this is awesome.

I hate those wheels and everything they've ever been fitted on. This would look so good with a set of SSR Reverse Mesh. Or TE37V's. Or Work Equip 01's. But then you'd have to convert it back to 4x114 for the last two, and that's not exactly wise with an LSx under the hood. Or lackthereof.

Heh, thanks for suggesting wheels to put on the E30 I want.

Can't find E30s on Reverse Mesh or TE37Vs, and that's why it sounds sweet. But hey, if it fits these cars it'll fit an E30...

Those are Drags on the E30, but even then if they were Works, they'd be Equip 03's. Those are Equip 01's.

Super GT replicas are cool and all, but I think that's a bit past the point of being streetable...

But can you say Taitec and TE37 Mag? Yummy.

Edit: Here's a thought... RS Watanabes on an E30? Never seen THAT before.
