Look at those rims  Also, what kind of Porsche is that?

Edit:
I think I found it. 935 LM.

How can someone with such apparently good taste in cars have such terrible taste in architecture? I mean, that is a shockingly ugly, generic, and souless house. I suppose all of those cars are 'accessories' anyways, even the F40, despite how good they all are.

Having seen that CTR2 in person & that it actually has a pretty decent history of rallying & racing, it has done far more to justify that spoiler than some of the cars in this thread.

Um, no, they're not. He drives most of those cars quite often.

Doesn't change the fact that they could very easily be purchased for the intent of pleasing other people. Not saying this is the case at all.

That probably is not the front of the house...

Quite. It still is a generic wood-light-frame/light gauge steel construction, brick veneer, probably poorly constructed McMansion in 'somewhere, USA.' I can tell that much from even that shot. With...oh....a generous estimate of $500,000 worth of cars (probably closer to twice that) I would hope to see a nicer house.

On a thread-related note, I finally got around to powdercoating my old school Impul FZ-R wheels (15x6.5 +19 IIRC) and getting some new tires (Dunlop Direzza's for those who care, seemed like a good tire for the money) and installing them on my RX-7. Will post some pictures tomorrow. I'd say the fitment is closest to a slight 'poke' but I don't want to upset the purists if that isn't quite true. It's setup for comfortable daily driving on cow-town roads. It's lowered, but not excessively so.

They looked like this before refinishing, and I lowered the car slightly:

They are now exactly the same color as....

They could, but they aren't. Most members on FChat are very well aware that he is an enthusiast first & collector second. I believe that CGT is amongst the highest mileage examples.

Oh here we go. If its not about having legit wheels its about having a $50 million house before having a nice car collection.

I have a much more substantial and personal reason for that view...and it's not about the price of the house. But that's outside the scope of this thread. PM me if you want.

My calculations come to $1,675,000, assuming the S-class is a base S550 and the owner bought every car new except the F40, which he bought for $500,000 used.

That doesn't hold his entire collection, just fyi. He also has a 599 GTO, GT3 RS 997 Mk. II, F50, & his S-Class is a 65 AMG. He's also had a 430S which I believe was replaced by the 16M, as well as a Cayenne & a RUF-modified 911 Turbo 996.

His collection has been rather quiet as of late, though.

What if we sneak into his house, steal the keys, then...

That's a nice MR2. What makes it even better is that it's here in Victoria. I wish I had the money to spend on a car like that.
It looks really hard to work on though. :ouch:

They are a bit of hassle, that is for sure. Replacing the engine was always the most fun, as you drop it out the bottom of the car after lifting the whole car up. It can go back in through the top if you lead the header and intake off, but that is more of a hassle than not in the long run.

The coolant system is also hilariously annoying because of how much piping there is, which means a lot of chances for air to be problematic.

On the plus side, it is literally a AE82 Corolla GT-S drivetrain dropped in the car backwards. Down to the valve cover being backwards for the first few model years.
