I've seen some pretty cool Japanese trucks before. I must admit though that none of them were primer-colored with steelies.

Not sure if bellow images will work for other. Copy and paste yourselves.

Haters' gonna hate. Open minded people gonna like.

I really love this thing. I hate a lot of cars and a lot of different things, but my buddy had a hardbody that he beat the crap out of and it was pretty cool.

Here's another japanese truck I'm sure you guys will like..

I gotta admit I prefer an honest looking truck that's low but with wheels and tires to match, opposed to mini trucks that are bagged and cut to ****.. :) My fav style of 2wd mini trucks are the moderate oldschool ones from the juiced era (late 80s-early 90s), like the white Isuzu (LUV):

And this HB

Problem with those kinda trucks again is that most of the trucks at that time seems to have been three-wheelers, hoppers and bed dancers, not built to only lay low. If they were, no one obviously bothered to document them juiced out..

The HB I posted first is like revival of the good old days, only less OTT and with more aggressive wheels that don't poke, it's not just another body dropped truck, that's why I dig it.

It's probably bagged. I'm sure at cruising speeds it's a bit higher. If it isn't, then God help them.

An overall nice effort, up until the Corvette engine. I know why LS and 350 SB's are so popular, but they are waaaay over done. I think someone has brought that up before.

How bout this instead...

Supra with a 2UZ-FE (originally out of a first gen Toyota Tundra) swapped in and a couple of turbos strapped on.

I thought I remembered it being a 5.6 out of a Titan.. anyway, I saw that car in person.. pretty cool to see.. He blew a radiator hose or something in the parking lot.. either that or he wanted to change his coolant??

Must be a different car. This Supra belongs to a member on the TundraSolutions Forum. He owns a shop that specializes in Toyo V8 swaps.

Intercoolers are so ugly, I would hide it as much as possible. They don't have to be on display to be functional..

They have to be on display to be functional unless...

Only other option would be a v-mount.

You COULD just seal the area around it to make a proper duct that begins at the bumper. But that Supra guy didn't even hack up the bumper. It's clearly aftermarket. If he would've hacked up the stock bumper to make a larger opening as opposed to just making a nice duct using the factory opening (which would have worked just as well), THEN I would agree with you.

The solution to the intercooler issue would be air-to-water. Perhaps each turbo could have its own hidden behind the sides of the bumper. They don't need to be large to have the same effect as an air-to-air and most people would assume the heat exchanger to be the radiator itself.

What about putting some sort of girll in fornt of the intercooler so it looks at least a little more OEM. Would that block much air?

Water cooled radiators? Why add more heat to the cooling system when air does just as good of a job if not better considering youd be sharing the coolant with the radiator. Thats just as silly as the water-cooled oil coolers for the Miata BP engines.

Historically, the accepted and proven method for cooling in turbocharged race cars has been to cool the intercooler and radiator using separated flows. Not shared. Whether it be v-mount setups, or other setups as seen in F1 and Group B, Group C, etc.

I'm sure its simply because of it being much easier and simpler to mount an intercooler in front instead of behind the radiator but it it just completely counter-intuitive.
