I like listening to cars, in fact at least once a week I browse YouTube just for that purpose. (V8 Supercars...mmmmmm)

Anyway, there comes a point when exhaust on a road car becomes too loud. Depending on the car, it may sound awesome (Subaru) or like 🤬. (Honda or equivalent)

I'd say a majority of second-owner Imprezas over here have noisy aftermarket exhausts fitted. Just don't like the sound of them (and i'm a Subaru owner with an aftermarket exhaust )

Lol, been catless with longtube header's on my Camaro for two years now. Just gotta slip her into 6th and chug along at 1200rpm when you see a cop!

I'm all for loud exhausts but you have to be considerate with others. Not everyone likes the sound of a car, just like not everyone (me included) wants to hear whatever music the guy with the windows down is blasting.
Oh and it's also sort of pathetic when a slow car with a loud ass exhaust downshifts and makes a lot of sound, yet stays pretty much beside you while slowly gaining speed.

Yeah though I have had encounters with 90s 4 cyl. jettas that have recieved this treatment as well.

I'd love to run a straight pipe or any N1 style exhaust, but it'd be irritating as hell. I absolutely love cars and they sounds they make but for my lifestyle, an extremely loud exhaust is a big no-no. Every winter and summer I take a four hour trip to Woodward, Pennsylvania and pretty much every other weekend I'm driving and hour through Jersey at a constant speed, so the drone would be horrible. I personally think Megan has the best WRX exhaust for the money, except it has a 4in tip that's disgusting.

Sound wise, you just can't beat straight pipes though.


1080P and a straight piped WRX? Heaven.
