Why are the lights tape like that, it looks weird ?

I think the classic reason to tape up lights is so that when you crash the glass doesn't go flying everywhere.

It looks like the tape is the lights from falling off the car.

I really doubt that some tape is going to hold the unit in place better than all the screws do. But when the lens goes flying, the tape will probably keep in in one piece like window tint or safety glass.

I bet the kid behind the NSX is thinking "Some day..." Also ^2nd 930 is best turbo for me, love the turbo carrera but I prefer the newer ones with the tea tray
