The smiley face doesn't make you look clever. People like stance, that stance is tastefully done, and this conversation has been gone over about a million times.

So kindly shut up with the "witty" remarks.

Since when massive useless camber and tires that don't fit on the rims, on which the car doesn't fit either, is considered tasteful?

Well, atleast the most of that 🤬 is in the land of obesity far far away from me. You know, when the driver steps in the car, it bottoms out and the tires tear off the rims. I think that's exactly how that "stance" thing was born.

I might be wrong, as I don't follow that scene, but I think that the whole hellaflush/stance thing originated from Japan.

Well, to each their own, but that would also entail expressing someone's dislike towards it, no?

Cars like these are very tasteful if you can properly set them up. Just look at StanceWorks, all of the cars they feature are stanced and most of them are classy, well put together cars and for some people like myself we respect that.

And the whole stance thing originated in Japan like Luminis said. It started with the Bosozoku guys moving over to cars instead of bikes and doing the same crazy stuff. But now it has changed from the flashy, outrageous look at me cars to more respectable good-looking cars that people enjoy. So, if you don't like them then don't come to the thread and bash on these style of cars because I guarantee a good percentage of cars in the this thread have been stanced and a good percentage of people on GTP like cars like these.

That's a bit harsh, isn't it? I mean, it's not like this thread is named "Stanced cars ftw" or something similar. Just saying.

I don't get what's so bad about about disliking it, either. When someone's got a car that looks like a hard parker, it's okay to express one's disdain towards that car. But, on the other hand, whenever someone expresses their dislike towards a stanced car, half the regulars in this thread will tell them to shut up... Not everyone has to like stance, I'd say.

Well, I assumed that most members of this site are into motorsports more or less, so (I assume) they should like fast cars with good handling. And that is completely inpairable with driving on only one edge of the tire, the tires being separate from the rims and scrubbing everything around them. Plus the weight of all that stuff that's supposed to lift the car up. And the driver of such car looks like a complete douchebag.

That white M3 is perfect.

That's because most of those people lack the ability to simply say they don't like the style and instead decide to rant about how dumb/tasteless/a waste of money the car is. I still don't understand why it seems to be so difficult to just say "I don't like the fitment on that car, I'd prefer to see it this way." Some viewers of this thread actually can do that, but their names are slipping my mind right now.

This is not only untrue, but also the completely wrong way to express your opinion without coming off as a complete douche bag. And then going to call the U.S the "land of obesity" is even more bulls**t. Take your second grade insults elsewhere because we don't need them in this thread. And furthermore, this style can be found all around the world and you can't avoid it.

These are just a few examples of what I'm talking about.

hemisport15,

So then rename this thread to something like "cars stance", so that people, who don't like those things and still come here with a hope to see something good and then have to leave with an eye tumor, would know not to go here.

We've already been over the thread title thing. People will post whatever they want in this thread, and will defend the fact that it's "not all about imports", yet when you suggest a thread title change they act like you killed their cat.

EDIT:

*Uneducated rant*

First of all, "stance" started in motorsports with the cars having the widest wheels and tires that can fit under the bodywork within regulations. I say "stance" because it has obviously deviated from that. Now, more camber and stretch is added to fit even wider wheels that would otherwise not work.
Another thing, the cars Keef posted (especially that Audi) don't account for all that is "stanced."

Are you guys kidding me!? Stanced cars are THE LEAST types of cars that are posted here. It's beyond me how someone could make such a big deal about seeing their least favorite type of car being posted here once in a millennium when, almost daily, me and a couple others post huge amounts of motorsports related photos. It's like you guys only visit the thread when a "stanced" car gets posted.

Lets see how well you miss these...

That white M3 is perfect.

That white M3 looks stock. It also has stretched tires and those wheels couldn't be further from "motorsports" wheels if they tried.

May I ask, what sort of motorsports are you into?

Now for some non-motorsports shots

I meant "likes/has interest in performance/racing cars", not that everyone's a racing driver.

OK, from now I'll agree with anything. The word "stance" has became like a swear word for me.

BTW, very nice photos 👍

I think it's obvious that Stance fans are among the more aggressive in the defense of their style.

It probably has to do with how many times a day somebody says "you know that's pretty **** for your ride quality/cornering ability, right?" as if the Stance community isn't fully aware.

Either way, childish remarks like that instantly erase any sympathy anyone has for your situation.

Pic thread, posted before, it's too much of a Monday for something new.
