It's tyre stretching that puts me off mainly. Don't see the point of modding if you just make your car dangerous.

As long as you maintain optimal PSI, tire stretching isn't any more dangerous than lifted trucks on the freeway.

I'm running 265/30/19 on a 12.5" wheel. It's been good to me so far.

Because LHD cars in Japan have that cool factor (much like RHD cars in North America), and IIRC, it was actually easier and quicker to import an US FR-S than get on the waiting list for a GT86. Plus, since this is the car RB originally used for their bodykit, and since there are a few minor differences between the GT86 and FRS, and since RB figured they'd sell a bunch of kits in North America, it kind of all makes sense.
