Check how many Hondas pictures ive posted here! In my opinion the best cars are JDM from Japan and European cars. Thats my point of view and many many millions back me up with the same line of thought. Again i have my opinion and you have yours:indiff:!

Ive beaten porches on the track
I beat a Porsche at the track in my old Civic once. Mind you, it was a completely stock 964 Targa, but I understand your point. Civics are basically unbeatable.

Nice one:tup:! Me, a carrera 4S with slick tires, boxter S normal tires, and fully race build one that people told me it was a GT3, but it was hard to believe, some many stickers, Gt wing and diferent rims that it really didnt look like one... but it really was the best race i ever had:)!

EDIT: I went to build sand castles because of him... got over excited, lost focus and tried to brake at the same time has him :dunce::lol:!

N1, N2, or N3?

Old ones are registerable somehow. The original company that imported them legally did crash tests on them and everything. They went out of business and some other company stepped in selling them without engines as "kit" cars, but for some reason the government has been impounding them. Maybe it's only the later models, I don't remember.
Only '96-'99 GT-Rs are legal within the US. MotoRex's owner, Hiroaki only sent 1 R33 to be tested, & agreed to modify all the cars' side doors to comply as the front & rear were fine with impact tests.

But because he blew through money & couldn't move cars fast enough, he started pushing them out the shop without doing modifications to them or sending them off for papers, so D.O.T. stepped in revoking the license & stopping all imports of the cars.

As for why they're being impounded, haven't actually heard that as all owners were sent bonds that would allow their cars to be registered.

I know some people here that have registered R32s by taking them some middle of now where DMVs and having them inspected as kit cars. They just bolt a Washington VIN over the JDM one and write up new paper work for it

Apparently they were attacking cars imported by Kaizo. They were imported with engines separate to take advantage of the kit car law. For a couple different reasons they actually were in compliance with the law though.

Well, I could see how that's a different story. But, I'm sure any owners with the proper papers will be able to get their cars back.

Ok
Take an SR20DET with 600hp, and a 2JZ with 600hp, and, for fun, and LS7 with 600hp, run them round, and I bet you the first to go is the SR20, because it is making more power per cylinder and displacement, and is overall more highly strung. (and I honesly don't know how bulletproof the LS7 is, so I couldn't tell you which one would go next :D)

A friend of mine has a 750+hp SR20DET he built and while it has lasted and runs really nice while driving as a daily (you would never know it has big power by the way it drives to work and back, besides the intercooler and the sound of the fuel pumps). The part that freaks me out the most of the car when running at 30+PSI is not so much the power (which is savage) but the sound.... I swear it wants to tear the road and car apart (which it has somewhat) and then itself. With the sound that comes out of that when at full boost it really suprises me it holds up. I have been in and driven some other high powered (500+hp) RB25/RB26, 1JZ and various V8's but none sound like the screaming torture that SR goes through.

Ol' dude needs some fresh lug nuts!

Ack!

It still seems more euro luxury style than VAG crew style though. It's like the difference between Japanese VIP and American VIP. The DUB scene has confused us slightly.

Looks more like that marble/foil effect that's popular on lowriders and hotrods, to me at least.

EDIT: Yes, the Advans on the S2000 have hollow spokes. That guy has the caps in so they don't get full of crap.

More pictures of this car, please.

EDIT: This is a video of Simply Clean that was held in Orlando, Florida. This was around 20 minutes away from where I live. I've seen a couple of these cars around like the S14 at 1:28 and the Golf at 2:56.

I can't wait to get a car.

I saw that video, it's pretty sweet and I can't wait to get a chick like that to ride in mine with me.

There's some cinematographers out there that out to be shooting movies, not car meet videos. There's some serious talent out there.
