Really rough start but it turned out ok. Just a quick note, a couple ST penalties will be handed out for not following start procedures, other than that I will have to check the replay but as long as nobody has any complaints we should be ok. Results will be up shortly.

I have a complaint if I may, @Ramalhinho91, I was really disappointed by your driving today. You should not be dive bombing people like that into the bus stop. I lost the chance of competing for the victory. I know your better than this. I hope this all gets resolved over tge week because if this happens again, I'm gone.

At the start, some of the drivers just started to do whatever they wanted. Please read all the rules and follow R1600's instructions.

Yeah I'm really sorry for that man, for real :guilty: That time I realised that I brake way too late :scared: I'm with 39ºC of fever so today I'm not in the better shape. We were having a good fight 'till I screwed up at that point, my bad.

I disconnected from today's race but the lack of following instructions from other members and everything else that happened I will not be coming to future events. Sorry for the extra work as it was a nice concept

Not everyone is perfect the first go-round, I highly doubt ANY racing league gets it right the first time. Next week will be better. This is not how I run my series, and I can assure you I was quite upset that we were almost an hour behind schedule. Disconnects from now on will be considered a mechanical failure and sessions will not be restarted.
@R1600Turbo Now that my team mate is left is there any chance I could move to a the ST class on my own as I feel I could benefit from that slower vehicles.
Hopefully he doesn't leave but I can make the change.

Generally .1 equates to 1 car length. Not shifting after start finish at all.. The 165 was with drafting to clarify that also, The mustang is already out of steam by 160 is what I was saying and the other cars like Aston, BMW, 370 with the better gearbox take advantage of that here and can get around before turn 1. Just clarifying what I meant. Race worked out pretty good I think. Balancing the cars using the same default settings and driving them to the times may be a little more accurate since we don't have the tunes you used. However the cars seem to be pretty spot on with that considered.. Maybe add 100kg to Giorgio? LOL BTW Great series and I'm glad I'm apart of it :)

You can blame that hold up on Multimatic. We appologise and greatly appreciate you allowing SPruett to race with us.. Other than some of the ST field not following start procedure, the race itself went pretty flawless. Maybe everyone try to get in the room right when Lobby opens.. Understood that connection issues are DNS or DNF.. Thanks again guys. Stancedout7: It really is a good series, lots of close racing, you would have a great time...

As far as incidents I have one that may need to be looked at.. Didn't turn out to be a huge deal, but copuld have been.. At the 33:46.813 seconds in the race IWannaB_SPruett was going around the slower (ST Class) car of MikeyLam. He had gotten cleanly around him and MikeyLam didn't fully concede the corner running into his left rear quarter panel almost spinning him.. To Clarify Pruett had gotten fully ahead of him and then got dive bombed essentially..

I'd like the keep the weights where they are, since they are set at the minimum required weight that IMSA sets for the real cars. (Mini is unknown though, might need an adjustment) 370Z might get a 5hp adjustment for next race, but overall I think the cars are good as they are.

Oh, and @Achilles try not to double/triple post, technically not allowed on GTP unless the posts are hours apart.

Ok sorry about triple posting.. The weight thing for Giorgi was a joke since he seems to be so fast, gotta figure something out to catch him.. I would agree with your statement sir.. I am familiar with the Technical specifications of the real life cars and applaud that you got them very close to the real life times of the race.. With that said it looks like I won't be able to make the next race, going to be participating in an autocross event that day.. You guys have fun and keep the fenders clean :) Is it possible to get a substitute driver so I can get points or is that out of the question? If not driver points then what about team points? I don't want to let my team mate down points wise if I am allowed to find a substitute and just retain team points that would be great..

Thanks for being so understanding R1600, I've filled out another form and am racing as #44 CRG I Do Borrow Civic. I apologise on my team-mates behalf once again.

No, sorry. But keep in mind the season has 1 drop round so if you only miss that one race you'll be fine.

--------------------------------

For everyone else, the results and points have been updated and the links in the OP should reflect the changes.

It's noted on the results, but I will also announce here that 3 cars were penalized 20 seconds in ST for not following race start procedures. They are highlighted in red on the results sheet.

Also, the reason for the hesitation to mix the classes was because the race sign-up indicated a full room already, and then there was interest for registration after that. So I assumed there were too many entrants and I split them up. I am all for mixing the classes, but if it indicates too many people it will have to be done. That said, when I start the weekly sign-up for the next race, everyone should make sure they are 100% committed so that I know what our final tally is come race day.

@Frisky that's fine, just keep in mind that unfortunately you forfeit the points you earned today, they will not transfer to the other class.

There was some talk last year about the switch and Fall-Line has been making some parts for the M4, however they are indeed still using the M3. Have not heard any confirmation on the switch actually happening.

In an interview with one of the Multimatic drivers, he did mention Fall line debuting the M4 some time this season as well as multimatic debuting the new Shelby GT350.. Will be interesting to say the least.. ST also saw Compass 360 debut the new Audi S3 in ST

Early word at Daytona was that the 350R would be ready for Sebring, to my dissapointment that wasn't the case as Daytona and Sebring are the only two chances we have to see them in person. Can't wait to see the 350R in action, Boss was a great lady but it's at the end of it's run.

Agreed, I'm in Jax, so only 2 hours away from Daytona.. Would have been great to see the 350R in person.. The BOSS fought hard over the years but that new Z/28 is just an absolute animal it seems.. Will be interesting to see what size Fule cell they will be allowed to run in the 350R with that 5.2 liter motor.. Right now in the Boss they are running the second smallest fuel tank in class...

I really enjoyed the race today, I follow the real championship from about 2 months but I already love it so I'm glad to be part of the game version of it. Thanks @R1600Turbo and good job on making the performance of the cars very close, can't wait for the next round :)

Interview will Billy Johnson from IMSA website..

"
When do you think you will have the newest Ford Mustang to replace the current Boss 302R?

“They’re trying to make it happen as fast as possible. As a driver, I’d like to have it for Daytona, but I’m thinking there’s a good chance it will be ready for Sebring.”

What kind of GS season should fans expect to see in 2015?

“I’d like to go after a championship. I think with all the drivers – Ian and I (in the No. 158), along with Scott (Maxwell) and Jade (Buford in the No. 15), Multimatic has real good driver pairings and a real good team, along with debuting a new car which should be pretty fast. My personal goals are going after a championship, now that the whole team has a year under its belts with the Mustangs. I think we shook out all the dust and cobwebs – and hopefully bad luck! – and I think as a team we’re ready to go after a championship. But, BMW will also have a new car showing up during the year, and the M4 street car is amazingly impressive, and the Camaro Z/28 is still a very fast car. It will definitely be a very, very exciting year, and it should be a fun season for the fans.”

LAP Motorsports was kind enough to let me know their minimum weight requirement since the IMSA rule sheet doesn't specify yet. The Mini Cooper should be 2500lbs, or 1134kg. So @WiiFreak go ahead and make the adjustment to your car, and I'll fix the spec sheet tonight. 👍
