Yes, most DFGTs were in an truly awful state.
I understood the question in that way, that your turning of the DFGT is not mapped 1:1 on the virtual wheel
graphically.
That's because the real wheel has a greater turning radius than the virtual one. I think the graphics are optimised for the controller, which is quite understandable.
But the inputs are spot on.
On a side note: I watched the VW simulator game thingy in the far corner of the gamescom, and they had 1:1 visual representation of the G25 in-game.
What a horrible sight when the virtual driver crossed the arms in sharp turns. I always thought 1:1 would be the way to go, but it just looked so very wrong.
I was, too, impressed by the driving experience beyond words. Sure, in my beloved Shift, the Nordschleife looks far more menacing, but in GT5 I was never quite comfortable. I knew I should be able to take that corner in 3rd gear flat, but there was always the sense I could be pushing it a bit too far. Very subtle, very disturbing but so very brilliant
