Indycar in GT5?

Do you expect Indycar to be fully liscenced (in the same way NASCAR is), in the game but with just a few cars racing on a few ovals (like F1 was in GT4), or not at all in the game?

The reason I think it may happen is Indianapolis is confirmed, and also that Indycars race at TW Motegi which is almost certainly going to be in GT5.

Motegi, has been in GT since GT2. Indy's tracks have been confirmed for more than a year now. Being that Indy's oval was in ToCA3, it just makes sense to have it in the GT franchise as well. It's a classic track.

+1... I'd love it to be in GT5, but I don't expect it to be there.

I've chosen yes,not that I expect it but I think the more licences they get the better,in addition to the normal GT mode in 5,all these licences could help it last until GT6 prologue on the next system.
I can see GT5 getting lots of licensed DLC,let's say they get DTM,if you want it buy the pack,lol I'd buy them all.

I think it might be the Formula Nippon car which Polyphony Digital designed the livery for. And I think this might be the very same image:

wasn't F1 more than just a couple of ovals in GT4? I seem to remember racing midfield and monaco amongst others.

either way, the more licences the better.

F1 was never licensed in GT4, there was just cars PD made based on the real ones. Also, the Indycar license wouldn't necessarily be needed as all PD would have to do is model the Dallara IR2 and then model Paint schemes from Chip Ganassi Racing, Penske Racing, Andretti Green Racing and others they can fit along with model certain tracks. I'll take any open wheel class, i LOVE those classes and it's much needed in racers inho (forza does not have open wheelers).

thanks for that it does look like the same image, used to play the Formula Nippon mod in rfactor which was good fun as F1 was too fast for my reflex's
