Make sure to avoid the awful dubbed version though.
Japanese dub with subtitles is the only way to go.

There is a slight chance I can :)

All the existing Initial D episodes were also not subbed perfectly. Sometimes weird English and sometimes very out of sync. But hey, it got me into loving Japanese cars and touge in particular.
Fan subbing has improved since then.

November 9th; bi-weekly.

Off-sync subtitles won't throw you off your chair. You'll get used to it.

Nice! I've never seen any Initial D, but the prospect of a new series coming out has piqued my interest. I might even have to dust off the ol' BitTorrent! There is, however, one problem:

Initial D, to my knowledge, has always obtained its music from the Super Eurobeat compilations. Now, from 1990 to 2011, the Super Eurobeat series produced over ten albums every year, (and that total doesn't include spin-offs or specials) so Initial D never had a shortage of music to use. I'll cut to the chase:

There hasn't been a single Super Eurobeat album since Vol. 220, which was released in December last year - and the publishing company that owns it, Avex Trax, has cut all contracts with all of the labels that produced the music.

It appears that Stage 5 doesn't have a soundtrack, then? Unless they want to use the Toho Eurobeat, Super Hatsune Beat or Super Ponybeat tracks while the more "mainstream" labels sort themselves out. XD

Move is still doing it. The theme song is raise up by move

I did get used to it. Also when I was watching Wangan Midnight Express.

I hope it gets officially released in other countries as well. I would be happy to pay for it on DVD or BluRay. Very happen actually if done propperly.

"I'd buy that for a dollar!"
In all seriousness though i would also pick up a BluRay/DVD rather than wait for all mighty Netflix to put it up.

Please sub it and put it on YouTube.

That only works when it either doesn't get licensed (which is extremely unlikely for a series this popular), or if the licensing group puts it up on Youtube themself.

Here's a good stream of 5th Stage Episode 1!!

http://himado.in/116703

Edit: Can someone who understands what they are saying answer a couple questions for me?
1) Who was the chick at the fuel station and what was she mad about?

2) I take it those two guys with the "Project D" shirts were trying to convince people they were Takumi and Keisuke?

3) What were they doing to the 86 at the shop?

1)Mika Uehara. The fake Takumi blew off one of her friends so she came after the real Takumi not realizing that there was an imposter going around.

2)Yup, imposter Project D.

3)Probably a tune up

I'm trying to look which chapter Fifth Stage starts from, it's in the early 30's somewhere I know that much.

True, I did read much of the manga. About two or three chapters behind. Rather bothersome with the live comments. :ouch:
