Very cool. Thanks for all the hard work TimberW, vasho, and everyone else. Now I just have to decide on which Evo to choose from... decisions.. decisions.. at least this one won't take me a week and a half to find. I can't wait to try out the Week2 courses.

You probably meant fully customised transmission. Yes, you can use the 5 Speed Close Ratio Transmission or 6 Speed Close Ratio Transmission. But the fully customizable transmission is not allowed.

Only Evo I've driven in GT5 so far but the car twitches left and right on the straight.:indiff: Something about the AYC and no deadzone on the DFGT.

Is it like that for the other Evos?

I already have my Tsukuba time but I still need to do Trial mountain, which is proving to be quite difficult.:banghead: Sorry about this Timber, I'll try to get the times to you asap.:bowdown: Thanks

I've got a spreadsheet which I will release at the end of the week. Then you guys can see in details the times.

Once the week 2 times come in, I'm quite sure that there will be changes in the positions. So I look forward to your submissions!

I want to know the times!! I want to know the TIMES!!!!

I think that so far besides Tsukuba the tracks where a real good pick. Its kinda hard to keep trying to get a good time without knowing how the others are doing. But thats the nice thing about it. Makes it more thrilling.

I think when the Times are released there should be a battle between the leaders. Or when the times are close. It is different when you race with others and when you drive on your own on how fast you are. I noticed that when I race with somebody I am a bit faster than when alone.

Gonna submit my Lan Evo set up when i get back from work tonight probably.

One more question. For the first two tracks when I have allready submitted a Time in the first week can submitt I again?? I think that the first week should be closed so that we can focus only on the second. Would put my soul at ease.

Yes, you can. Only GT Wing for Aeromods. This is to help keep balance competition between standard and premium cars.

My limited time has been spent preparing for some other races tomorrow night, but after that, I should be able to do some runs for the second week of the AE86 time trials. This time, actually focusing on a good time for the whole set of laps, not just getting one best lap time. :) In the previous one, my time was probably inflated by 20 seconds because of fooling around in "throwaway" laps, heh.
 
I've just got the time down for Deep Forest Reverse so far..

It's fun to be able to open the throttle fully at the big U after the tunnel.

Yes thats true. It has got some nice corners which if you tackle the right way you can save up some nice time. Especially the second before the tunnel at the beginning and than afterwards the corners before the little tunnel.

The hardest for me is the last corner before the finish line. I always try to do a 4 wheel drift through corners so that the car does not oversteer.

I liked Trial Mountain very much though. But yeah the more corners the more fun it is to try to drive through them Initial D style :) Tackle the corners the fastest way possible without crashing.
 
I've been really busy with work, but I'm hoping to put down some times on Friday and Saturday. That way I'm not scrambling to get in some times on Sunday. We'll see how it goes.

Although I have spent some time re-watching the Initial D Series. I really hope they come out with more episodes.

I believe Joe is talking about Initial D animation series. Currently if anyone reads Manga, ID is still somewhat going strong. Last I read, Takumi was racing some guy in a newer Miata. As most ID fanatics know, last year I believe is when IDAS5 came out in Japan. But as some of the US players know, IDAS4 was complete crap. I think Sega finally realized that IDAS is a dying series considering that Sega hasn't released a new console game since IDES on PS3 which was a pretty decent game although it was just a repackaged version of IDAS4.
 
They call each new DVD season a stage. For example Stage 4 DVD is the one with the pink Miata or the S2000 on the cover. Example

Did you guys allready tuned your Lan Evo? I somehow have a hard time doing so. It is probably because i am used to the AE86 and how it drives. With the Lan Evo its completely different.

Till when do we need to submit the tune for the Lan Evo and would it be possible to know on what tracks we are gonna run on???
At least one or 2 Track names. So that i can set it up accordingly.

Gonna work on that today. Looking forward to see the times. 👍

Sorry to hear that Shigegaki; and TimberW is right regarding other things in life being a lot more important than GT5.

As for my Week 2 so far, I didn't have as much time for GT5 as I thought I would. I just finished my Deep Forest Reverse time. That was a lot of fun, even though I'm still getting use to this type of driving.

I'll work on my Route 5 Clubman Stage Forward time tomorrow. And get both times posted sometime after. Then I still have to figure out which Lan EVO I'm going to use.
 
OK, posted my Week 2 times. I wonder how my Clubman Stage time compares to others. I really didn't like my final time, but oh well. Good luck to everyone.

I am thinking of getting a LOGITECH Driving Force GT wheel as it is compared to the other wheels quite cheep. Do you guys think that its a good wheel???? The one that I have now its real low budget and not at all good.

Well looking forward to see the other times as well, and finaly the replays of the best times.
