AE86 Never came with ABS so You might wanna put the ABS off

Yes that's true and I'm aware of that, but let's 'imagine' that all of us have the 'human ABS' ability! haha... But if you are a real purist, you can send in your time without ABS. I'm planning to have a challenge without abs in the future to spice things up.

The AE86 LSD part was Optional during the time

Yes, it is optional, and Bunta probably could get aftermarket LSD for the Hachi-Roku.

Heh to tell the truth the AE86 runs better without LSD at least for me.
But as i allready registerd my car with the Fully Custom LSD I have to use it. :grumpy: :yuck:

I tried afterwards a couple of rounds on Trial Mountain and the car did better than with the LSD. Its a pain to try and fine tune the LSD. Spend a looong time to make it so that it works for me.

Wow, I find it amazing to get so many discoveries. It's really an interesting battle to find the Fujiwara's AE86 specs!

Time's almost up and I'm looking forward to post the results for you guys!

Nice Picture btw. I love Colored Initial D Manga pictures.

Guys, checkout the great photography from weavty for BKOTT on the first post, really captures what Bunta would do!

Hey man, could you send it again? Either I left your specs in the computer at my work place or I accidently deleted it... but I'm pretty sure it's in the PC at my work place. I try to keep my PM box free incase of the sudden influx of results!

Sent! :sly:
Thanks man, yeah.. I know how that goes, losing stuff between the office and home..

Me like!👍

By the way, if anyone has an STi Version VI that they could lend me for a couple days it's been a month and haven't found one in UCD and I wanna take a second stab at Nurb this week.

OK, I finally found the AE86. Boy, do I feel like Itsuki in his Levin compared to you guys. I hope to get my times and car registration posted before tonight.

Kadoimmortal: I sent you friend request on PSN. I can send the WRX if you still need it.

I'm getting one from joe since he has an extra so I don't need it anymore, thanks.

Running out of time today, so I submitted my registration and times to you TimberW.

I have to say this experience so far has been very challenging and frustrating for me, but in a good way. It made me realized that I was playing GT5 too much like it was an arcade racer. I really had to stop and rethink the way I did things. I just wish I had more time to practice.

kadoimmortal: Glad to hear you were able to get the car from Joe.

weavty1: Very cool pic on the front page and watching your Nurburgring run is very humbling. Hats off to you.

vasho: thanks for sharing your video. Very entertaining.

When is the exact deadline (time and date, including time zone) for the AE86 Tsukuba sumbission? My weekend was really full, so I had little time for practice. :( I may need to sit this one out, because I'd rather submit a time I am satisfied with than just rush.

I'm not so rigid with the submission times. Just send it in within a reasonable time. :)

Alriiiighty... Timber, check your pm's :) Just submitted my times for Act 001-Week 1 👍

Poor runs though :( I didn't have such a good week, guys.. So, sorry if my times aren't competitive enough, for this week.. :guilty:

Thanks for the compliments on my photos and video, guys! 👍 :dopey:
I'll try and keep 'em coming!

Cheers and good luck to everyone!!! :)

Well, I submitted my registration and AE86 times, but I was dismayed to see that the time trials are TOTAL time, and not Best Lap. :( Not that I would have beat you guys anyway, but I guess I will pay closer attention to the fine print going forward. :) In the next set of time trials, I should have better times, as I will be able to practice right from the start.

It was fun, and I learned some things about tuning.

Ahhhh, don't feel so bad dude! :) Just ask Timber, I actually sent him my time for Trial Mountain, based on 2 laps.. when it was actually supposed to be 3

Don't beat yourself up over something like that, when I was off by a mile! Literally!! Hahaha :dopey:

Cheers man! And best of luck to you bro! If u need any help with tunes/setups, feel free to pm me and/or add me on PSN, and I'd be glad to help!!! 👍

First:

The Tracks:
Week 1 (31 Jan 11 - 06 Feb 11)
A: Tsukuba Circuit (6 Laps)
B: Trial Mountain Forward (3 Laps)
Week 2 (07 Feb 11 - 13 Feb 11)
A: Deep Forest Reverse (4 Laps)
B: Route 5 Clubman Stage Forward (5 Laps)

The Tracks are awsome. 👍👍👍
Realy looking forward to race on them. Gonna hit the road tonight.

Second:
Car & Restrictions:
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution (Standard / Premium)
- Evolution Rally Cars Not Eligible
- <425BHP with Weight Restrictions
- Open tuning up to 425BHP
- Only Carbon Hood is allowed for Premium Cars
- Only Window Weight Reduction is allowed for Standard Cars (To simulate Carbon Hood)
- No other weight reductions allowed
- Fully Customizable Transmission Not Allowed
- Fixed LSD Values, Spring Rates & Anti-Roll Bar for entire series
- Sports Hard Tyres only or Comfort Tyres

As to the Car Restrictions. So actually only Engine tuning beside the Carbon Hood or the Window Weight Reduction either on Premium or Standard is allowed?

This is going to be so nice.

I don't really get what you mean. but:

Performance mods:
Any form of performance tuning is allowed up to 425BHP.

Weight Reduction mods:
For Premium = Only Carbon Hoods
For Standard = Only Window Weight Reduction.

Tuning Options:
You can only have one set of spring rate, lsd value and anti roll bar for the whole season. So you can't change these values.

We are street racers! Not racing teams!

BTW: Week 1 Results will be posted tomorrow, my time... haha..

I was pointing to the Custom Suspension and Custom LSD settings. So we are allowed to use those but just one set up for both tracks.
I got it now.
Sorry its still an early Monday Morning. :yuck: :yuck:

hello i have a question. you say fully customizable suspension is not allowed. so does that leave it open for us to use the 5 speed or 6 speed close ration transmissions?

You probably meant fully customised transmission. Yes, you can use the 5 Speed Close Ratio Transmission or 6 Speed Close Ratio Transmission. But the fully customizable transmission is not allowed.

TimberW: Is there really no specific weight restriction (in kg) for the Evo Act? There is significant variance of weight between the different generations of Lan Evo.

The only available weight modification is carbon hoods for premium cars and window weight reduction for standard cars.

I can see that the modern Evos are heavier. But they are generally faster. I personally haven't tested each evo out to see how they stack up to each other.

I'm going to be using an EVO VII. I see it more as a fun factor personally. But if you're competative and want to win. You'll then have to decide on which car will be the best under the restrictions imposed. :)

RESULTS ARE POSTED!

I've got a spreadsheet which I will release at the end of the week. Then you guys can see in details the times.

Once the week 2 times come in, I'm quite sure that there will be changes in the positions. So I look forward to your submissions!

Let me know your thoughts so far about the competition, after week 1 and revealing of results.
