Given YingYang's 3 month stretch of inactivity, I doubt we'll be seeing him in season two. I'm not sure what's happening with Roy either, the guy doesn't seem to follow this thread at all.

The signups for the pre-season will actually be closed, we need to work out whether this collaboration with NeoGAF will work or not. So hopefully we can expect a number of new faces next week :)

I had a blast racing with everyone and as much as I would love to be in for season 2, I'm afraid the best thing for me would be to not sign up because my brother just recently gave birth to a baby boy and the family has been planning gatherings on the day of the races (which explains my absence recently). So not knowing how many races I can actually attend, I don't want to let the group down and make everyone wait and see if I might show up. Thank you for considering my attendance tho, I really did have fun with you guys. You were all such clean racers!!

This was the first race that I actually properly practiced and set my car up, think I'll do it more often!

I normally just have a quick half hour and do nothing but lower ride hieght cos I don't really know what I'm doing.

I think the LSD tuning was crucial, I set it so that it was very hard to spin even under full power on a corner and I found I could get on the power earlier than others out of corners.

It is a crazy track where one lap I could get 1.53 and next 1.56 without knowing where I lost it!

Btw NSX more power? 2nd and 3rd places are NSX, it makes up for 20bhp with better aero and cornering!

Arkano when I accidentally joined your WSGT practice room the other day, the guy you hit (can't remember name) was using turbo on a GT-R.

You did a very good job!

???? I think there's something you're brother isn't telling you. (BTW I know what you mean.)
Sorry I couldn't make it, the whole family went out for my nan's birthday and when there's 23 people at the table(s), service tends to be slow. Oh and whatever happened to "only zz and kyaw can swap positions in the last race" none of us were expecting Phil to win but it was still a possibility and it happened. I guess it's GP's fault for slowing down.

Get in for more races please! I love racing against you. :)
Unfortunately the Nismo 350z is getting some ballast for season 2.

It was great having you on the grid, shame you wont be there next season :(

Oh really? I can't really back that up since I haven't seen anything, but I'll keep an eye out for sure.

Well I'll be honest, I don't think anyone was expecting Phil to win :sly: Even if GP hadn't slowed down, it would have been very close.

Unfortunately the Nismo 350z is getting some ballast for season 2.

IIRC Zz said that he wont be using the Nismo Z next season, so he shouldn't be affected :sly: It does need ballast though, that too will be tested this week. Actually, I think the more sensible idea would be to limit the power, that way we don't screw over the balance of the Nismo Z.

I'll get to work on the pre-season thread once the F1 is finished.

Reposting the replay file for yesterdays race just incase Joey missed it.

I thought we could steal a idea from the British Superbikes to try and close up the championship at the end. Basically it creates a shootout for the top 6 over the last few races. Over the season we have a normal championship but there is a side table for podium credits: 1st place = 3 credits; 2nd = 2 credits and 3rd= 1 credit. Then for the last few (we'll say 4) races the top 6 get fast-tracked to 500 points plus their podium credits. This is how our able looked after 7 races:

I was out the top 6 at this stage so we'll make it the top 8
The podium credits are as follows:
GP-11; Ark-9; Roy-8; Kyaw-5; zz & Netherdragon-3; Joey & Phil-1
Then we all go to 500 plus these and pole/FL points so:
GP-519; Ark-513; Roy-511; Kyaw-509; zz & Netherdragon-503; Joey & Phil-501.
Then going into the last race it would be:
GP-619; zz-604; Ark-575; Kyaw-569; Phil-560; Netherdragon-553; Joey-541
See, a lot closer and many more possible outcomes for the final race. Although Ark dropped from a deserved 2nd place thanks to a slump at the end which he would have gained back from 2nd place at the final race.
The only problem I can think of is how to drop your worst race as it may affect who goes into the shootout.

Keep it simple plz...

So. Last nights race was almost exactly how todays F1 race played out.

Top 3 together for the entire race, 4th & 5th together for most of the race, with 4th falling back to 5th during the final moments, and 6th bringing it home all alone all race.

Pre-season thread to come up in a couple of hours.

It takes a month until the next season start. Do you have gatherings the whole season :scared: ah well... priorities :)

No of course not but I don't want to commit and then have to miss more than I expected. I just don't want to hold up the starts having everyone wait to see when/if I show up. That would be very rude and selfish of me.

Asians don't bring new borns out anywhere until after one month (health superstitions). And we celebrate one month after their born ( called a "moon yuet" in Cantonese ). :)

Lol i had alot of air-time. i just did't had any chance of defending on the old tyres. Its funny to see 2 green cars thinking they are faster whit a 1-stopper.:scared:
