The GT-R is a whole different beast to the NSX, you have to adapt your driving style slightly and get the set-up correct. I'm actually really enjoying driving the Calsonic, it's a whole new challenge :)

Glad to see we'll have at least two NSX's on the grid next season

OH! Forgot to ask earlier; what do you all think about having Suzuka on the calendar twice next season? It's a great track to drive and always produces fun races, and it's not even one of my best tracks!

Suzuka twice? It's not like there's a shortage of tracks to use.
If the majority of us are in Nissans next season can we keep SSR5, Max and Kyaw can put that in the 2 races that don't count.

So what you're basically saying is that if we put SSR5 in, any NSX drivers will only be allowed to miss one race.

I can't be the only one that sees this as unfair ;)

I'll post up a proposed season 2 track calendar in a couple of minutes.

EDIT: Here we go:

Suzuka Enduro
Le Sarthe Enduro
Indianapolis Road Circuit
Monza
Tokyo/Rome/Tsukuba
Nurburgring 24hrs Enduro
Monaco
Madrid
Fuji GT
Grand Valley Speedway/variation of Cape Ring/GT track of some kind
Nurburgring GP/F

Any additions or changes are in bold. I'd rather not run an identical calendar to season 1, so I've changed out all the tracks that either had a blatant car bias, or races which were generally underwhelming (SSR5, Laguna Seca).

Is what I am now proposing as the official season 2 calendar. We still need a fourth endurance race, I'm thinking either Nurburgring GP/F, or perhaps Madrid or Indy Road.

The pre-season races will have Madrid, Tsukuba & Indy Road in the mix just so that we can test the tracks before the season starts.

Have Suzuka as a pre-season race too. :D

Here's a move revised version. With 2 normal races gap between each Endurance race.

Suzuka Enduro
Monza
Tsukuba
Le Sarthe Enduro
Monaco
Madrid
Nurburgring 24hrs Enduro
Fuji GT
Grand Valley Speedway
Indianapolis Road Circuit Enduro
Nurburgring GP/F

Also pre-season logo:

Looks fine to me, only thing I'm unsure about is what the last enduro race should be. I'm drifting more and more towards Nurburgring GP/F. But it's up to everyone to decide :)

That didn't come out as sarcastically as I meant it, I would quite like to keep a track I won at, but since the race was boring as hell it's gone.

If that's the order for next season then the last endurance should be later, like Fuji, I wouldn't mind another hectic race there for 90 mins

Suzuka Enduro
Indianapolis Road Circuit
Le Sarthe Enduro
Monza
Tsukuba SSR5
Nurburgring 24hrs Enduro
Monaco
Madrid
Fuji GT
Grand Valley Speedway
Nurburgring GP/F

Too much trouble!

It adds another layer, do you go for a quali set up and get near the front or a race set up and hope you make up the places?

Keep it as is!

I am actually refering to the way we do it this season when I say it adds an extra layer!

You either go for quali or race setup, makes for the unexpected in the race!

Just did a 1.53.092! No cutting!

Don't know how, its a very technical circuit and you can lose 2 seconds without knowing.

EDIT: Please tell me Tsukuba isn't really on the calender, I hate that track, and 12-16 of us on that crappy little waste of tarmac.

Also I vote FUJI F instead of GT

SSR7? You're a funny guy :P

EDIT: Joey are we going to get a GVS race video? :(

i meant 5.
no serious, Tsukuba. 50+laps on the same little track? i got lapped 10 times. I already have driven to much on this track...

I agree with the people saying no to Tsukuba. So you have a No way vote from me too.

Like Phil I also vote for Fuji F instead of GT.

And La Sarthe is a great track... if you have a LM race car. I Honestly feel boredom after 10 minutes on that track in a SuperGT car. And we can multiply that with 9...
I'm afraid of falling to sleep man. I drive it as it wont get removed, but you wont have my enthusiasm for sure :(

I prefer technical tracks instead of road tracks... SSSR2 and Rome are no racing tracks to be honest.
Tokio and Monaco are also road but quiet technical...
Laguna is a classical track, should be in.
Grand valley is one off the most beautiful tracks.
Fuji and Nurburg are real racetracks.
Suzuka 2 times is okay for me, great track.
Tsukuba is short, but intensive to race an hour, why not...

I guess we'll be leaving Tsukuba out then :P

Erik, I'm sorry but Le Sarthe is going to have to stay :sly:

I'm more than happy to have Fuji F instead of GT. And I guess we can replace tokyo with Laguna Seca too if you all want. I don't mind.

yeah no tsukuba....👍

Fuji F sounds good. And i actual looking forward to drive Le Mans again.

Suzuka Enduro
Monza
Laguna Seca
Le Sarthe Enduro
Monaco
Madrid
Nurburgring 24hrs Enduro
Fuji F
Grand Valley Speedway
Indianapolis Road Circuit
Nurburgring GP/F Enduro

So is everyone happy with this set-up? We can easily change Indy Road & GP/F around in terms of which one is the last endurance race.

yeah! Laguna Seca is in!

Need to rethink though... GTR is much better on that track... maybe put ballast for GTRs for tracks where they are superior at?

We'd end up doing that for every track. The NSX has a slight advantage at Le Sarthe for example.

It seems to be i go take back my Takata.

Whit the Tomica I drive laps of 1:56's, my best 1:55'2XX. i did drive about 200 laps whit the damm yellow thing, but it won't improve times. Also i am sliding all over the place and i ain't consistent, occasionally doing laps of 1:57's up to 2:00 minutes.

But now i did 2 practise session of a total of 10 laps whit my Takata. I managed to put out a 1:54,2 whit room for improvement. also i did it whit the exact same setup that i used at Grand Valley. :scared: 💡

heres a tip for setting up the gtr i worked out.

if its understeering all over the place, set the front high and the rear as low as it will go (will cause lots of oversteer), then slowly reduce the gap between the 2 until its stable.

ive raced some tracks with +10 on front ride hight and -15 in rear with the gtr :embarrassed:

suzuka enduro
monza
laguna seca
le sarthe enduro
monaco
madrid
nurburgring 24hrs enduro
fuji gt
grand valley speedway
indianapolis road circuit enduro
nurburgring gp/f

so is everyone happy with this set-up? We can easily change indy road & gp/f around in terms of which one is the last endurance race.

fuji f?

Netherdragon: I found that yesterday, I set a 1.53.0 by having the front slightly higher!
I'm gonna try more difference as it is only -2 difference at mo!

only 2 street circuits. :yuck:

why not use a 3th street course? SSR7/Rome:idea:

Well like we said before, SSR5 is horribly un-balanced between NSX & GT-R, SSR7 would be a giant snorefest. Rome I actually don't mind, but we have Indy Road in place of a 3rd street circuit.

We'll test out all the new tracks during the pre-season so we can get a decent understanding of how they'll play out. And if anything needs changing, we can change it :)

Do you guys use the Rigidity upgrade on your cars?

Of course. I have no idea how much difference it makes, but as far as I know, it makes minimal difference.

I'll be on in about 30 minutes to start hosting practice :)

SSR7? You're a funny guy :P

EDIT: Joey are we going to get a GVS race video? :(

I've not had much time this week to record the video, I was going to do it on Tuesday but ended up having to go out just as I was about to do it:(.
I might have enough time to do it tomorrow but if not then it will be Monday at the very latest.
