Intercontinental GT500 Championship Season Two - Finished

We see what happens, IMMORTAL was involved in some strange things in lap 1. I couldn't really tell what happened. But I would guess somebody complained about it and it is under investigation.

Good thing that the PURE didn't drive pure catching up then :)

As far as I saw they were 4wheels off the track at the top of eau rouge more than once :P

Hopefully 3D3 host another one of these events, because that was insanely fun. I just hope we get to vote on the track, and that it isn't Spa. Suzuka maybe.

There were always going to be incidents for a first-time event like this, which is why I'd love to see a second round be hosted on the other side of Christmas maybe.

It was unbelievably competitive, I just wish the track was more to my liking :P

ICGTC has taken provisional second for now though, that's a solid result if I do say so myself. Thanks for carrying us Immortal LOL :sly:

haha nice race.. but i think i let down u guys.. i really tried hard to get my spot back from WRP and i got very close.. but unfortunately not so close to get some slipstream in the end to overtake.. i then made a mistake wich cause me to fall back and lose the tim ei gained back from wrp ( arkano started closin gin on me then )

amazing race by immortall.. i did a very stupid atack on the 3 top guys on the straight wanting to get falcon & ermm i gues.. his name is.. but ended up hitting the calsonic & i slowed down for him but saw him make the short cut and gain 1st position & just drived away.. & i couldnt catch them so they ran of in their slipstreams.

overal good race its the team points what counts and i think we've done pretty well.. i should of practice more & not let u guys down on some important parts.

Yup! Season 3 ho!

You should come back :( I miss fighting with you

Yeah I do miss racing you guys especially since you never got F1 2011...

I might come back as a one off next Saturday if I'm free but I doubt I'll commit to a whole championship. I find the Super GT cars to be too slow and sterile for my liking plus to be half decent in these championships you need to know how to setup a car properly which I can't.

I wont be buying another Codemasters' title, F1 2010 was bugged to heck itself and it took two months for F1 2011 to be patched just to be actually playable.

I'd also like to say that in the public lobby I had almost zero lag compared to my uber lag in the private lounge 👍

Track suggestion for next week:

Suzuka

Tracks to vote on

Trial Mountain Circuit
Autumn Ring
Daytona Road
Rome Circuit

To vote just type
1. your 1st vote
2. your 2nd vote
in this thread

We give the vote "1" 10 points and the vote "2" 5 point and those two tracks with the most points in the end will find their way into testing in our pre season so please don't wait to long as we start next weekend. If those tracks just wont work (pit fails or something stupid) we take the next in the line.

PD have confirmed they will release a new DLC every two months and if one of this DLC do have a amazing track like Twin Ring Motegi or something even cooler we might take out the vote2 track from the list to replace it. But this is something we will discuss if it happens.

Cars (car specs)
Also you will be able to pick your car next weekend, after the pre season race.
Sunday sometime we start the car picking. We normally wait until the weekend before the season start, but as we really want teams to be a part of this championship next season, we decided to give it another twist.

Two compound rule.
This rule changes, we will be able to go one stint on Soft and the rest of the race must be done on something else. Most likely Medium, but it is your choice. (Medium could be a bad choice in heavy rain)

Lobby
We have up until now used a private lounge, we will test and most likely start using a open lobby. We recently experienced some not wanted lag in our room and as a private lobby will stress everyone's connection we will try out the open lobby. During practice time on race day I will stay in the room and kick out every random who try to join. I know it is a bit annoying with the message on screen saying some random joins the lobby, but its in fact less annoying than the lag.
This will bring in that we limit the room to the max amount of people who are allowed in the lobby so after the race start random people could not join. So we will have to sign up to each race. As long as this is done 1 hour prior to the race it is OK.
As we still are on everyone's friend list we will not have to enter any track number to enter the room. You guys enter as you have always done.
Room number will still be posted.

Damage

It seemed most people who raised their voice was open for heavy damage and we will test heavy damage.

Success Ballast
We use the same system as we used last season but weight changes to
1st 60kg
2nd 40kg
3rd 20kg

Mostly because we now added ballast to most of the cars and we wont end up on giving people 5kg discount every time we half their ballast.

Stewards
Maxitsu is added to the steward team

Heavy damage will be observed very closely. I hope it works out to be honest, there's no reason we can't all drive just a little more cleanly around each other 👍

After the 3D3 races tonight, I'm really looking forward to the medium & one-soft-stint tyre rule, the softs are around 3-4 seconds quicker than the mediums, rather than the 5-6 seconds of the hard tyre, so that should be fun.

Not sure on my track votes yet, and I think I'm going to try the Lexus out next weekend.

With heavy damage there is one other aspect to the new tyre rule. It might be a risk starting on soft. If you damage your car and have to pit.. you already used your soft stint :P

..I didn't even think of that.

That's actually quite scary :scared:

GP & Arno, are either of you two going to compete in the next season, or at least take part in the pre-season?

I've seen GP checking this thread daily now so I know you're going to read this. The lag you complained of before, I honestly experienced almost totally zero lag (just like we had in the first season) with 12 people on track in the 3D3 race last night, will hopefully be gone if we use a public lobby. As much as your quitting after being in an accident at the start of a race annoys me, I'd hate to see you go 👍

EDIT:

I'd like to reduce the points for pole down to one because I'm thinking 16 extra points for pole is a bit too much (In Immortal's case) ;)

Also, a wild leaderboard appears!

The revised leaderboard is only counting each drivers ten best results.

That leader board makes me proud. I would not expect that after last season. So my home made rig and a lot of practice payed off.
I just hope I can be just as competitive next season.

it was a very nice season!.. definately learned from my mistakes for sure.. so yea ( mostly pit mistakes & fueling :D )

for the preseason my 1st vote goes to daytona road.. the reason is just i like to race on real circuits more..

2nd vote is GVS
also my vote goes for heavy damage.. makes the race more interesting 2 + makes us more aware of driving cleaner.

:dopey:I'm pretty happy I passed maxi in the overall! Looks like I've improved last 5 races, I finished above maxi in all of them :dunce:
At least I wasn't last!

Autumn ring 10 points
Rome circuit 5 Points
Grand valley speedway -100 points :mischievous:

I found that the Fanatec 911 Carrera wheel fell to 99 Euros.
What's your opinion on it?

La Sarthe is out for a reason. You placed you best place because you cut the track in half anastasis..

I saw that one coming :scared: I didn't earn more than 10 second through the cutting though...
Anyways, if this is the reason is out, we could use Circuit de la Sarthe 2005, there is much more sand outside the track

Looking forward to the new season.

- To bad Le mans is not on the calendar. I like the fact there is weather now. But the thing is i have ZERO experience whit it in GT5 :scared: .
my trackvote gos for Daytona road(1) & Trial Mountain(2).

- I like the new tyre rule...

- I am not sure if heavy damage will work. I am pro realistic damage, but in GT its so bad. There will be alot of frustration out there. but i like to try it.

- I was thinking to use a GTR in S3, but whit the new car rules its more likely i want to use my "green devil" again or maybe the raybrig.

10 points definitely going to Daytona, with 5 to either Deep Forest or Trial Mountain (can never remember which is which)
Vote for next week: Any of the tracks which are in the voting process as there's no point testing a track we know we're doing in the main season.

my vote is for no demage and soft and 1 hard.
For next week pre sasion my track choise is rome
