Intercontinental GT500 Championship Season Two - Finished

10 points definitely going to Daytona, with 5 to either Deep Forest or Trial Mountain (can never remember which is which)
Vote for next week: Any of the tracks which are in the voting process as there's no point testing a track we know we're doing in the main season.

Deep Forrest is the track we had in our last pre-season, Trial Mountain is the track with the air balloon floating over the track. And also have a nice steep curb into the start-finish line. (where I got my tip over trophy btw)

I am not a fan of the heavy damage and 1 soft tire rule like Falco .

Im willing to work with the tire rule , the medium tire isnt that bad we will just have to learn.

The soft tire stints will now be much longer i can imagine.

but for the damage rule I will make my final decision after or during the pre season.

for the 2 voteable tracks

1. grand valley
2. trial mountain

Next weeks pre season track i choose Suzuka

Id love to see nurburg 24 taken out , id rather race la sarthe than nurburg 24 , it always has too much crashes while passing , track is just too narrow

when do we get to choose cars ?

Cars wont be chosen until the weekend of 3rd January, so that gives everyone plenty of time to test & practice with whatever cars they wish.

Car picks are next weekend apparently :sly:

As much as I love Le Sarthe, we had such a bad experience with it this season that it's best just left out.

My votes go to Daytona Road 10 points and Grand Valley Speedway 5 points.

To be honest I am not a fan of heavy damage and 1 stint of soft.

Heavy damage is very precarious subject, if it doesn't work well at Suzuka then I think it's safe to say it wont work anywhere. If we do stick with light damage, I want to be more strict on on-track contact penalties.

I don't see why people don't like the one soft stint rule. After using the mediums last night there's honestly not much difference between the tyres. And to be honest, soft tyres are retardedly easy to drive with.

Heavy damage will be tested during the pre-season, we see how it goes and make a decision before we start season 3. I do hope we try to make the best out of it during the pre-season. It's much easier to judge if it stays or leave if we give it a fair chance.

I have driven Nurburgring 24h twice and I really havent crashed once. I went off twice during 22 laps of Nurburgring 24h (both in the first race) There is 25km of track so you don't need to overtake in the most narrow part of the track ;)

The Soft-Hard tyres rule we had in this season was a success in one way, it added tactics to the race. But on some tracks the different was just to much. Making people starting on hard being lapped. Then when they put on soft and others had hard they had to yield because of the being lapped rule. And that wasn't the point of the Soft-Hard rules.
The new rules adds a bit more challenge to the driving as it is easy to drive around on soft and I noticed that we are more closely matched on the harder compound so this way we hope for a more close race. I don't know how you feel about this, but if I want to drive alone I can do that alone ;) I'm here to see some head to head racing.

Heavy damage and weather may prove to be a little too much to handle, but we'll see how it goes anyway.

Nurburgring 24hr may not provide the closest of races, but it's a great track to drive, separates the men from the boys :sly:

The one stint on softs will add a great bit of tactical play when we use dynamic weather, although it will probably blow up in my face, everything always does

Cheers Erik, 5 points to Trial Mountain

I do a bit of a tactical vote here so

1.Trial Mountain
2.Daytona Road

Standings so far:
Daytona Road: 55
Trial Montain: 25
Gran Valley Speedway and Rome Circuit : 20
Autumn ring 10

I think its actually great with the weather etc.. it'll make it more hard.. & another notice.. the thread topic has to be changed also.. I think it's better to have ICGTC Season 3 instead of Intercontinental GT500 Championships.. it makes it more good looking.. but thats just my oppinion..

I will make a new thread for our season 3 as soon as I have some graphics ready.
And to get the graphics ready we need to have our tracks ready first :)

About the name I think you have a point actually :)

Just incase people haven't looked at the revised car specs, all cars must weigh in at 1130kg stock now 👍

Not all cars, but most cars :)

Why nobody answers to me??? :grumpy:

Well I have never tested that wheel, how good will a review from me be?
If you want a T500RS I could give you my feedback.. as I'm all beaten up by the force in that wheel :)
