I will go with Xanavi GT-R so that frees up a Yellowhat for someone!

GT300 soon please!

..And equally GP & Erik have first dibs on the Xanavi GT-R :sly:

It's only fair that people that used a certain car during season one have the first choice on whether to use that car again in season 2.

The RayBrig is free for next season though! Almost 100% certain that I'm going to be using the Calsonic GT-R now, I really like the GT-R, although losing the extra 500 rpm from the NSX is somewhat painful, the NSX gets much better starts & gets out of most corners a lot quicker than the GT-R. The NSX also seems to be able to gain more from a slip stream compared to the GT-R.

Actually, if we could get a few pairs of people using the same car, the teams would be easier to create :P

I actually think we shouldn't give dibs for cars, it would be much better and fair for everyone to just re-register on a first come first serve basis for a car to use for season 2 than having first dibs on what they've already got. ;)

I don't mind, if everyone is happy with that.

I wont take any car requests until the official pre-season starts, so there's a few weeks to go :)

Ah well give me any car you have left Arkano. Any NSX or GTR will do (except Epson, motul)

I am not going for the supra's, since i am bad when my tyres starts to go.
and the lexus cars will be to slow whitout turbo's.

Don't worry, car picks won't happen for a couple of weeks, only once the pre-season has officially started. All cars will be first come first serve, no season 1 preference.

That sounds good. I'll freeup the xanavi for sure. I'll rather go for a slower car and struggle with that for the season. Each season a new adventure...I will make up my mind in a few weeks :)

I think we should make you and Roy use gt300 cars, that would make it more interesting

Ok, so a quick recap of everything we've agreed/disputed for season two so far:

- A certain amount of the overall race distance must be completed on Racing Hard tyres.

- The number of endurance races will be increased to four, including Le Sarthe, 'Ring 24hrs, Suzuka and one other.

- Driving line will be banned & damage will stay as light.

- Only 9 out of the 11 races will count towards the final points total.

- Success ballast will be introduced, full details yet to be posted.

- The Lexus cars will be banned for season two & the Nismo Z will have ballast.

That's everything off the top of my head so far.

I think we should start get punished for crossing the white pit line when enter pit and when re-enter the track after a pitstop. I seen so many people just throw their car out of the pit. Doing this in real life will give a drive through penalty. No matter if there is a car coming up behind or not.

There should be a speed limit when enter the pit too. So many people just send their car to pit at 130mph.. (la sarthe) do this in real life and you get a lifetime ban and I bet the team leader would have your neck for smashing his car!

And I suggest we put rain on (fixed) on Monza :) (no racing hard needed) would make it more fun than the endless you pass me then I pass you straights.

i agree whit the white lines at pitstops. But there is nothing wrong whit Monza in dry weather.

I was actually going to post regarding Monza in the rain. I think we should go with Monza with dynamic weather, rather than forced rain ;)

Following the pit lane entrance & exit lines is certainly something we'll implement into season two, as well as slowing down for the pit entrance.

The game slows down for you in the pit lane anyway. Just keep it the way it is.
Don't fix something that's not broken.

I worded that wrong, I meant to say that we could consider slowing down for the pitlane.

But following the white lines will more than likely be a new rule.

ok just to point out with the pit lane whit elnes, the pit in line is pretty irrelevent on my view (even in f1 the drivers dont stick to it on a lot of tracks...).

sticking to the pit lane out line however is somethign i wholeheartedly agree with, and but only if you are fully willing to trawl through the replays and puninsh anyone that fails it. (10 sec penalty seem fair?)

I have a suggestion for short cuts and going wide.

I don't want to see shortcuts each laps like on Monza. were almost everyone did it becaus someonelse did it too, thats not alright.

Also i like to see a rule when you by mistake take a shortcut or going offtrack(going wide) you may not overtake in the next 3 corners. Like i saw in the 2nd corner of Fuji alot. for example.

I pretty much agree with everything here.

That's impossible to police. If anyone goes off track and overtakes someone, it's an illegal overtake and should be reported to a steward.

EDIT:

Cool idea that Erik thought up:

We could have qualy 10-15 minutes earlier but still start the race on time and keep qualy at 30 minutes long. The idea being that qualy would finish 10 minutes earlier than it normally does and everyone would get on track for a two lap race, where everyone would line up in their qualy order (we'll write down the order on paper so that no one cheats) and everyone would drive around the track and finish in their qualy order, then the race would be set to start according to previous race results.

This basically allows everyone to have separate qualifying & race setups.

Too much trouble!

It adds another layer, do you go for a quali set up and get near the front or a race set up and hope you make up the places?

Keep it as is!

I just don't see the trouble here.

The layer you are talking about is not there. You do qualify on race setup or you should be pretty stupid in my opinion. 30-50 laps race against one counting lap... well if the lap time is that important you wont win. That's for sure.

Most likely most of us is doing something in between. Why not go all the way and add a layer of realism to the game?
(I would like to see real racing guys doing the same setup for warm up/qualify as he will use in the race.. Not going to happen)

And now that we have to do some laps on racing hard, I could finish my qualify on racing soft and still start the race on hard if I like. In some position and tracks that could be a tactic someone would use.

And because of the racing hard rule added I for one would go with another setup just because of this. Sucks if I have to take this into account when I do qualify on racing soft only

It will also be added success weight in season two, I personally don't think the weight should be added during qualifying, but for the race it self. (this is not my decision to make though)

I didn't say we needed a 2 lap race to sort out the qualify order, that was cooked up by Arkano. 1 lap would do on most tracks, and on Nurburgring24h and La Sarthe I think going out of the pit like we did when we had to restart Nurburgring24h would be good enough.

It works on the basis of working out two setups: you have a qualy set up you'll use for qualy, then you change to a race setup for the race. It's totally up to you whether to do so or not.

Regardless, I figured I'd set up a poll for this.

I'm in two minds about adding the ballast for qualy. On one hand we're offering two points for pole position, so ballast would mean that the same person can't continue to get pole each race. But on the other hand I'm pretty sure they don't add ballast to qualy in real life.

It seems to be i go take back my Takata.

Whit the Tomica I drive laps of 1:56's, my best 1:55'2XX. i did drive about 200 laps whit the damm yellow thing, but it won't improve times. Also i am sliding all over the place and i ain't consistent, occasionally doing laps of 1:57's up to 2:00 minutes.

But now i did 2 practise session of a total of 10 laps whit my Takata. I managed to put out a 1:54,2 whit room for improvement. also i did it whit the exact same setup that i used at Grand Valley. :scared: 💡

The GT-R is a whole different beast to the NSX, you have to adapt your driving style slightly and get the set-up correct. I'm actually really enjoying driving the Calsonic, it's a whole new challenge :)

Glad to see we'll have at least two NSX's on the grid next season

OH! Forgot to ask earlier; what do you all think about having Suzuka on the calendar twice next season? It's a great track to drive and always produces fun races, and it's not even one of my best tracks!

Yeah its a whole diffrent beast. But i haven't decided yet what to do now for the next season. what i now experience whit the Yellowhat, i probably had the same thing from the first race at suzuka until the 24H race at Nurgburgring. Its good to take the experience over to saeson 2. i don't want to be last in almost every race again. On the other side who nows what can happen if i managed to get this car under control. I also hope some clean-driving-noobs sign-up :dopey:

Don't get me wrong I like Suzuka, even for some endurance. But why 2 times while there are lots of other nice tracks that don't make it to be on the calendar?
