It's not GP I'm worried about.

If Roy actually participates in season 2 we need something to slow him down :sly:. I'll come to a decision this weekend whether or not I can take the fight to GP in a GT-R, just give me some more time to learn the car. I'll probably spend most of Thursday & Friday solidly practicing for Nurburgring.

Roy came into my room yesterday and did a 1:53.1xx straight off, in a stock Lexus T_T So yeah, not feeling all that confident.

Are you sure he's not using engine stage 3 on his lexus? As we all know the RPM on the Lexus doesn't increase with the upgrade, so maybe he's using it but keeping quiet about it?

He could have been actually. That's yet another reason why I want to ban the Lexus for next season.

What do people think about the points system at the moment? I think it's ok to be honest, but I'll probably throw up a possible alternative in the coming hours. Also, how about only counting 9 of the 11 races for next season too? Since a number of people have missed more than 1 race.

It has its pro and cons. A week a go i was bored and started to experiment whit diffrent point systems. the last i used is still on my PC somewhere.

it gos like: 30, 25, 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Fastlaps and poles not counted, +DNF points.

The idea of ballast is not bad. I don't trust the lexus neither in stock modus...
But what about stock weight, for example the motul autech is 1130kg and the supra 1090kg. I tested the difference between the motul gtr and the xanavi gtr. Due to it's higher weight and little less power, there is not much difference in time. I was 0,3 sec slower with the motul, so could have been me.
The pointsystem: it was nice having extra points for pole and fastest laps i think...

I might lower the winning points from 40 to like 38 or 37 or something.
 
Maybe only extra weight for GP and Roy. :sly: 💡 ;)

I don't care there will be weight ballast is in or not. But it have to be done at on the right way.

About the point system GP, I don't say points for poles and fastest laps should be banned. It was only test. on my point table Arkano almost makes a chance for winning the chapionship at Nurburg. Als DNF points is a fair way for drivers who got disconnected/lags. But Its posibble the cars at the back park there car more easly if they can't win.

Arkano i just notice you miss 2 fastest laps in your point table :)
 
If people get DC'ed then they get the points for the last available racing position, DNF is only for people that willingly quit the race before it finishes/DC.

I'm not sure what happened to those fastest laps, I noticed them too. But I'm not going to trawl through 11 hours of replay footage to work out two points :P
 
I say we take out fastest lap and pole points.

I was thinking of the ballast system like the one in GAF championship.

I might try the Supra and the Nismo 350z next. The 350z has a really nice looking backend. :P

The GAF ballast system is the same thing I was proposing, just different weights. 100kg is too much imo.

I quite like the points for pole and fastest lap to be honest :l If we go ahead with the ballast system, theoretically the same person shouldn't be able to get pole & fastest lap each race.
 
Somethings wrong!

I can only get 1.55.*** and thats with basically cheating by taking a lot of liberty with the chicane!

Very hard to keep a constant tight line round some corners with DS3!

Would be interesting to see what any one else can get with DS3 to see if its me or the pad?
 
Have you tried turning up the steering sensitivity for the DS3 in the racing options menu thing?

It's pretty vital to take the high-speed chicane just after the haipin flat out, otherwise you'll lose around 4 or 5 tenths :(

EDIT: What do people think about adding more endurance races next season? I wouldn't mind adding Suzuka as an endurance race, and possibly one other track (Monza maybe?).

I wouldn't mind more endurance races. But I would like to know it when the track list is given out. not the week before the race. We change it to endurance!!!
Suzuka is cool for endurance, but in my opinion I got enough of Monza already. It's more about sleep stream than actually skills in my opinion and as we all know the sleep stream is just a bit over the top in this game.. well that tells it all :)

Monaco is an interesting one actually. Since the pre-season will mostly be made up of city/road circuits (I want to test Indy Road & Madrid, possibly Rome), it would be nice to have a city endurance.

I have decided to drive whit A Nissan Yellowhat Tomica next race and next season. Atleast, If there will be a spot left for this car.

A good lap should be around 1.53.xx...
Have a short gearing, i got 174mph or so. It's important to take the last corner absolutely right. Brake a bit later for those round hairpins and lead the car in carefully and get the power down out of the exit.

I have my NSX ride height to be higher than neutral too.

I loved driving the Nismo 350z and the Yellowhat Supra but the Nismo is overpowered even with 100kg ballast and the Supra has terrible tyre wear...

Walp, Nurburgring 24HRs enduro should be interesting again... really need to practice it a lot...
 
im gonna stake my claim to the castol toms supra for next season right now if there are no objections? with some practise i feel like i really could do well with that car, its sooooooooo forgiving :)

Are you deadly seriously sure? There's a reason GP dumped it during the pre-season for the Xanavi GT-R ;)

I did my first laps today whit the Yellowhat GTR. I must say it drives much easier/better compared whit the takata. The only problem is i am to slow.

I already starting to miss my Takata Dome. Since the first race, i have learned alot about the car performance and settings. And now the GTR is something new. I never have driven a GTR Online, or offline. Compared to Arkano and Kyaws pace. i am 3 seconds shy. I have to say my car has only 280+HP. It need some mileage and a oilchange.
 
I've come to love and fully understand the RayBrig NSX. And now I get to do it all over again with the GT-R haha.

I'll post my setup sometime tomorrow, I have to get up in 5 hours :(
