All this tyre talk just a game, maybe i should just take my ball and go home.
Have fun race and make new friends, just my point of view. ace127 good work
Imagine the level of indignation that Directors, Organizers, and Stewards Deal with in Real Racing?
Guess we are getting to experience a Simulated indignation event as well.

Some people seem to underestimate the effort that some people tend to put in these events. This isn't some regular weekly league race, it's an annual event, and because of that some people do put in more time and effort than others.

Call it taking a game too seriously but it's also a competition. Some people want to do well. For some, it's actually quite disrespectful to the organizers and other racers to treat this as just any other race after all the time and effort from both sides.

Did some people overreact by missing the memo and failing to ask questions? Yes, but the way the rules were presented weren't exactly crystal clear either. Questions had to be asked but at the same time information needed to have been presented better.

Was too much done in an attempt to accommodate everyone? Yes, as a special event you want to do everything you can for all interested parties but I think it made things needlessly complicated this time around.

Is qualifying going to be run with fuel and tyre wear off?
I hate to ask this honestly, but has everyone been preparing for no fuel use/tire wear in qualifying or the opposite? I know I had not directly stated in the OP one way or the other, and I want to get this nailed down now.

so is it ok for me to race even though i may have to leave mid race?
As long as you are not holding up a spot for someone else who would like to run the whole race, then no. Although, the group as a whole would prefer if you didn't leave mid-race.

@aceboy127 how would I go about quali if I am not physically in the country at the time of the session?

I maaaaay be at Le Mans this week
Well are you or aren't you. I do need to know if there are special cases so we can work something out.

It shouldn't really matter that much. What y'all did during the Nurb 2.4 was fine by me, even when I practiced with fuel/tire wear. At the end of the day, starting position in a race of this length doesn't really mean anything.

We did the same for the N2.4h didn’t we?

Just no fuel/tire wear for qualy.
Yeah that's what we did for Nurb. Last year for Le Mans we ran with it on though.

I don't disagree, I'd just hate for someone else to get butthurt because it wasn't decided a month prior. Just want to make sure on one qualifying strategy gets screwed over.

Wait a minute. I know you @Neyrox and I know you're a good driver. I would race with you any time. However, if I were racing with someone and lost time battling with them or, heaven forbid, had contact and lost time when I know they are not even going to finish I would be a bit annoyed at that. Just saying.

To add onto this a bit, some drivers during the Nurb 2.4 event were concerned with enough people leaving making the rooms combine. I would hope the same doesn't happen here since 3 lobbies was already discussed. In the case that not enough to warrant 3 happen, that might cause problems.

I believe I already mentioned this somewhere on here, but should the need arise to combine into 2 lobbies, I see no reason why we wouldn't. I'd love to have 3 come race day, but it is what it is.

Qualifying is a bit more important here since I assume we’re using it to separate Pro & Am or whatever so it’ll decide what lobby you’re in.

When you say we’re allowed 2 attempts, does that mean we’re allowed two laps or two 30 minute sessions?

Everyone is allowed two 30 minute sessions.

With the fuel and tire wear off, we wouldn't have the sad culture of fuel burning during qualification.

Setted and myself would like a qualification before the official one. I'll pm you when I know we're able to.

Edit: I see #7 is free again. Pretty please :)

Does anyone have anything else they are uncertain of, and I'm serious. If you have any serious questions at all just ask. Please do not wait until race day to ask the important questions.

I have one. Am I to assume we *all* need to be in a discord voice channel, so that Cautions can be called easily among lobbies? It doesn’t bother me, but if that’s the case, it’s probably a good idea for everyone but the hosts to be muted so that cautions can be heard.

As per the OP.
"To call a caution, you must type the letter "C" into the chat box."
This is under "Cautions" "Caution Procedure"

On another sidenote: what’s the availability limit for each GTE car or is there no limit?

Asking this for a teammate of mine.

To piggy back on his question it’s not nessicary to be in discord correct?
It is not necessary, but it helps the hosts.

No limits for any car.

Not sure which two...

I'm going with the BMW M6 and will team up with @Herimopp89 and @Neutty as SNAILRACING. I'm new to all of this - as a team do we have to all use the same 'Sponsors' or can we run with different sponsor decals but the same style liveries?

Thanks for putting this together Ace. You cant please everyone :ouch:
To answer your question the OP states that "Primary Sponsors are exclusive to each team/driver", which means when signing up as a team you pick a primary sponsor for the team.
