Familiar?Why 3x?
Is qualifying going to be run with fuel and tyre wear off?
You say that.... but it really doesn't.(These late rules make it bit more even between hardcores and us regulars)
Yeah that's fine.
In accordance with the room settings posted, would the minumum tyre be RH with any other R tyre being available for use, or would it just be RH?
Any racing tire is allowed.
It doesn't help that there was a conflict in the lobby settings and the BOP sheet. My original question didn't address the BOP sheet being for RH tyres, they were right to ask. When people saddle up on the high horse they become full of themselves.
This was posted well before they even signed up. IF THEY READ THE FORUM THEY WOULD UNDERSTAND. Here is a sign, “Being full of yourself makes you look like an a**!”
But it was posted here at the bottom. What I’m trying to say is @aceboy127 did his best to inform everyone. It doesn't help that there was a conflict in the lobby settings and the BOP sheet. My original question didn't address the BOP sheet being for RH tyres, they were right to ask.
I highly doubt any team would want to wait a full week to get into testing before a race. I know my team didn't, and their team didn't either. Not to mention it didn't end up being the "next couple of days" in the end, since that message has been there since the thread was opened. It's an issue with clarity in regards to regulations, provisional or otherwise.
Up until last night, if you scrolled right on that spreadsheet, you would have found that the tires that were listed to be ran for each car only said Racing: Hard. Based on this information, and the fact last years event went off beautifully with only hard compound tires, I was under the assumption this this information was accurate and could be trusted. But it was posted here at the bottom.
I'm not denying the effort put into the BOP, I realise the effort it takes to get these cars on this game to a point where balanced. But for a team to put those same long hours into testing, only for it to be thrown out the window and into the bin is utterly demoralising. It makes you think what the point is anymore and it's clear they had that same thought, considering they ended up pulling entries.I do see your point in the matter, but I also know the people running the tests in the BOP department, and I know a lot of long hours were put into it. People are human, and have lives outside. But like I said, I see your point and I can, ina way, understand where you are coming from.
Careful.Wow the tire controversy of 2019 lol I just caught up on everything and the pettiness of some people pulling out over tires is crazy and I think the races will be better without them lol
I have heard stories about how fast you are and I was definitely not trying to make you look like an idiot.Up until last night, if you scrolled right on that spreadsheet, you would have found that the tires that were listed to be ran for each car only said Racing: Hard. Based on this information, and the fact last years event went off beautifully with only hard compound tires, I was under the assumption this this information was accurate and could be trusted.
I saw that chart before I saw the room settings tab in the OP. When I saw that, the only tires that were explicitly mentioned were also Racing Hard, nevermind that that was actually the minimum compound. Since I already had an impression based on the BoP chart I failed to read too carefully into the verbiage there, and was more interested in the other regulations.
Please don't make me out to be an idiot or otherwise for not having gotten the memo. I didn't really have time to read every post in the thread to gather that there was an inaccuracy afoot. I can't speak for my previous team withdrawing from the race but I highly doubt that was the only reason why.
@aceboy127, if you have time, I would like to talk to you privately about some concerns I have with the tire wear rate. I ask this since posting it here for all to see really looks like asking for ridicule to me. All of that aside, I am looking forward to the race and hope to have as much fun as I have had in the previous two runnings.
