When will LMP2 qualifying be sorted? There are still 4 people who are yet to qualify. I'd like to know what lobby I will slot into.

Will LMP2 be divided into Pro and Am classes?

Going off of ace's post, I'd also assume that those that don't qualify would be positioned based on whenever they join the racing room.

What is the policy on bump drafting for the race?
Honestly, I would say try to avoid it if you can, as we all know how touchy these cars can be. If you feel it is absolutely necessary, only do it on straights, not in braking zones or corners.

Okay. I’m also going to assume it’s not okay for a prototype to push a GTE car? I sure hope that’s the case.

Thank you for the response.

I think that should honestly go without saying anything the gte cars can draft very well together done right

Yeah, generally that would be frowned upon. In case anyone is wondering what would be a good example to use bump drafting... 2 Prototypes are closing in on a GT car. They bump draft together to get by, so they don't have to worry about him in the corner. Just one of many examples.

Thank you for the clarification @aceboy127. I saw some of it in qualifying and it got me wondering what the limitations were as far as the regulations and spirit of competition.

Also, IT’S RACE WEEK!!!

Bro you can probably run RSS. The tire wear is very low. Also you might get wrecked by some Googan before you can do a full stint. Just a suggestion.
I think you misunderstand something.

My post was more lined to "how much quicker will RSS quali trim (no wear or fuel) be compared to race trim (lobby fuel/tyre settings) on RM."

A few people already know what my RM pace is with fuel on and can probably guess where I should be on the timesheet already.

I haven't turned the wick up on the performance of the car yet either, been practicing with the Toyota at 99/99 for that extra mental focus on race pace gitgud, but sailed off to France before I could do any RSS Quali laps.

FYI, Front row of AM is my milestone for right now.... I doubt I'll drive it much quicker.

Quali trim is at least 3 seconds faster than normal pace.

Well in LMP2 for me I did Q with 3:28ish and in practice race I did 3:32ish avg on RSS tires... (although I did manage to get laps in timetrial down to 3:25)

Here is the lobby structure.
Lobby 1: LMP1 Pro/GTE Elite
Lobby 2: LMP1 Am/GTE Pro
Lobby 3: LMP2/GTE Am

I will plan on hosting the lobby I am in, which at the moment would be Lobby 2. I will update once the hosts are sorted.

I think you Misunderstood... I’m saying why would you practice, qualify, race on RM. The tire wear allows you to run RSS for what ever you are doing

You can run that many laps but how much is the fall off?

...after 14 laps yesterday testing, I was at about 1/4 of tire wear on all four tires, although using BB at 1 rear, only ABS and on DS4...

Now as more tire wear is presented, faster it goes since car slides a bit more... so approx 18-20 laps for 1/3...

I posted the Race Results document to page 1. It has an overall tab, then it has the 3 lobbies split up accordingly. Obviously this will be corrected once qualifying results are final.

That was never misunderstood.

The tyre and fuel wear up until recently was TBA... and I was well into preparing to leave the UK when it was eventually announced.

Secondly, while I was waiting for tyre/fuel parameters to be announced, I decided to check the pace of the car for my own P1 class for Apex Endurance League (starting its P1/P2/GTE series after the summer) for this track. AEL runs max of RM, so to kill two birds with one stone, I got a handle on overall performance of the 3 P1s on RM settings.

Sweet. Hope you have a great race no matter the tire model. It looks like it will be some tight racing

Hope everyone is having/has had a good Monday wherever you are.

I am now hosting a practice lobby for the race this upcoming Friday. It is a friends only lobby so please send me a request for entry if need be. Hoping to get some traffic tonight.
