Shame we had some disconnects. Damon explained his was due to a wireless connection and he plans on going wired from now on. I always have a wired connection so there should be no problems with me hosting.

I have a wired connection so hopefully there won't be any more issues going forward.

I'd like to ask the group a question about future seasons of this series. At the moment we are running all Gr.3 cars with a Pro-Am division split. Would you also be interested in a Gr.3-Gr.4 division split, with the current Am Division using Gr.4 cars? It would create two different races like we have now, but also the opportunity for lap traffic. Like this post if it's something you'd be interested in, and comment below with your thoughts.

It's something I wanted to do originally but we thought it was too complex to throw at people all at once so we simplified it to a single car class and Clean Racer took Gr.4 for his Saturday morning series. Seeing how well this has gone so far has already got me thinking about the future. It makes more sense to start simple and as people flow in we can throw more things at them. We already starting having the idea of reopening the entry list and going for two lobbies, one for each division or a larger split between all. Blancpain utilizes a four class system which is Pro, Silver, Pro-Am, and Am, in that order. We could do Pro/Pro-Am and Silver/Am or Pro/Silver and Pro-Am/Am. Not sure which would be better or why but that's why we discuss and work things out.

I'll keep my coat on but I believe that all classes should remain in GT3 machinery. The amateur drivers won't learn anything from the pros if they're driving different classes. In my opinion, the point of having an amateur class is so they can still race and try to learn from the more experienced drivers without being demolished in point standings. They have their own title to race for and they can learn a thing or two from the faster entries at the same time.

Well put. If we do a multi-class series it won't be under this particular banner.

Qualifying has officially been added back to lobbies. So, do we plan to use it, or are we sticking with it as is?

I'd like to get a test session in either tonight or tomorrow night to make sure it works properly. If we don't get that done this week we'll use the normal format that worked for the first two rounds and have it sorted by next week.

Did some laps at Fuji last night. Car is good in the first 2/3 of the circuit, but I'm struggling in the tighter turns. Anyone have any advice for limiting lift off oversteer on the Porsche? Tried increasing rear camber, toe-in and raising the LSD brake values to limited effect.

Race Day Confirmation

Please let us know if you plan on attending the race this Friday. Good luck everyone!

If everyone is able to attend we will split into two lobbies. Lobby A will be the top 7 Pro drivers with the top 4 Am drivers. Lobby B will be the bottom 6 Pro drivers with the bottom 4 Am drivers. This way everyone still gets to race against the pros and can learn something from them. The split will be based on championship points, as doing a large qualifying session across two lobbies and then reorganizing for the race would be too complicated. It may not be so we will discuss it and make an announcement prior to race day with the procedure for everything.

I’ll be there!

I read today that Lobbies now have a Qualifying feature after today’s update, will we be using this now or staying with status quo?
