Since I missed the practice lobbies (finishing up working on my car, shower, food, it's suddenly 7:30 here) I ran some laps on my own. Managed a 1:36.234 after a few laps. Was toying with the idea of trying to do more races in cockpit view, so gave that a whirl. Got within a few tenths of that lap but my consistency is all over the place. We'll see...

Unfortunately I'm out for this one. Hope to catch you all next week.

Also, as much as I love you guys, probably won't be doing party chat for a while because my headphones aren't great and I have to turn the game volume down too much to be able to hear you. I'm one of those types that needs the sound of the car to operate it effectively. :P

I’m the same way. I don’t do chats anymore unless it’s a test session that needs communication.

Get some better headphones! I joke, but with a good set of headphones you can have game audio and party audio on two different volume nobs. It's really nice to turn down the party when things get serious or raise up the game if I need to hear the engine that little bit more.

Parry chat can be useful but when it's used to gripe when others are trying to concentrate it's just a hindrance. In the pcars league I race in it is critical. In here I just want to hear my car.

Oh my god, I know you're talking about me at Barcelona and I explained last week. I'm never like that anymore and I'm upset with myself for letting myself get that far out of hand. If that's the reason you won't join chat again then please reconsider.

@Clean Racer mark me as tentative tonight. I have to be somewhere at 9:30(central time) So I am not sure if I will be able to race and then leave the house on time to make it.

@DesertPenguin yes it's you but it's also other people. Having someone yelling at me through chat to get the F out of their way because they believed they were faster than me at a certain moment only pisses me off and has the opposite effect of what that person was hoping for. That wasn't you penguin. I'd rather just run my race and not know how dumb my fellow racers are sometimes lol. It's the same reason I left facebook years ago. Hearing the unfiltered thoughts of my friends and family was more disappointing then interesting.

Awe man. That sucks. I love the sound of that Supra. I'm so pissed I didnt fill out that survey.

I will join tonight but I am going to set an alarm for 9:05pm(central) as that is latest I can be at my house before I need to leave. So if we aren't finished with the race and I leave just remember, it is not a rage quit. Lol If that results in no points for the race that is fine with me. Hopefully I will be able to squeeze the race in before I need to leave.

10 mins is fine. I am usually only good for 2 decent qually laps anyway. I suck at setting a good qually time

I'd say 15, only because Ace usually shows up a few minutes late after doing his YouTube thing. Does qualifying still starting at 9pm EST?

Think he said he wasn't going to make it tonight.

Subtle tweaks to the livery. Don't mind me. :)

Hopefully I lose enough ballast to put in a good performance next week. I did the points myself on paper just to see and Guido now has 52 to my 51. I've got to take his threat seriously from here on out. Great job tonight Guido. You really knew what you were doing out there on this track. A good qualifying time started you in a good position to capitalize on points and you did exactly what you needed to. It's on!

Put in a banker lap in qualifying to start P1, then tried to pull away in the first half of the race. Got out to about 2-2.5 seconds and then Tim wouldn't allow me to go any further. :P Pit at the end of lap 17 for tires and enough fuel for ~18 laps. Tim came in a couple laps later and came out about 4 seconds behind me which stretched out to about 5 seconds during his out lap. Managed to get it up to ~5.5 seconds and sort of hold it there. The last few laps I ran some slower laps to minimize the chance of a mistake. Was funny watching the gap between us grow and shrink every lap as I was quicker in the first sector and he was quicker in the last two.

Thanks DP
I love the track and the car felt great. P3 in qualifying was a big surprise for me. Mopower and Whitey were to fast for me in race. But Whitey had some bad luck with 2 laps to go, and so I could go for P4.
I am looking forward to the next race.
