Hey guys, Nova is trying to put together another wonderful series, this time with the Porsche 911 Turbo (930) '81. We're just shy of enough people to get this one started so if anyone is interested in racing this Friday night come check out the thread and see if it's for you. It's not the norm but then again isn't it nice to break away from the usual GT3/GT4 machinery?

It is really fun. It is a NO ABS series. Which is what kind of makes it fun.

Unfortunately I just saw the time and I don't think I'm going to make it in time tonight. I'll do my best but I dont think I can get to my ps4 until 8:30.

If I'm adding this up right, Guido and I were at 52-51 respectively before tonight and after this race it's now 63-62 with me leading. Drop races bring us back to a near tie (I think). This is so damn close!

Well that was pretty ugly for me despite the finishing position. I think I did OK using cockpit view but I probably won't do it again. The car though, was garbage after ~8 laps. So much understeer. I could hang on to Tim fairly well before then, then the tires would just fall off a cliff I'd lose gobs of time in short order. And that wasn't even really pushing super hard as I was in no mood to do 11/10 the whole race. Hopefully Suzuka goes a little better.

Edit: Also, seems the grid is shrinking. Would re-think not letting people join mid-season.

Speaking of drinks, my parents just got back from a cruise in the Caribbean and bought me some of my favorite Jack Daniel's Honey but also their Apple, Gentleman's Selection, and something called a Traveler's Exclusive. All of it is so much cheaper down there so it's not as big of a hit. They must have bought at least ten including the ones for my brother and whatever is theirs.

I decided to mix the Honey and Apple tonight and it's a sweet concoction of bliss. Well deserved

So an off track penalty finally decided the race outcome as far as I'm concerned. I went to pass desert penguin on the inside late due to him slowing down a lot more than expected. He not realizing my late attempt came for the apex ,lap 23 i believe turn 1, I saw him coming in on me and swerved so that we may avoid damage and i got and off track penalty in the form of a reset. I do not know or think there is even anything we can do about track cutting resets other than bring it to the attention of the stewards and let them do what they will. It cost me roughly 5 seconds and took me from battling for 4th to 6th position. I fought valiantly and managed to come withing a second of reclaiming 4th position at the finish line. Unfortunate and honestly not a really good race for me at all. I missed a lot of braking markers and had several off tracks including an aggressive situation in turn 1 on lap 8. I also missed my braking marker in the last chicane and almost had an incident with desert penguin. Thankfully he saw the potential carnage and went wide to avoid it as i went barreling buy. I rescinded the position on the ensuing straight but i am grateful he was aware enough to keep me from ruining both of our races. Very nice driving!!! I am going to actually practice for Suzuka (one of my worst tracks) and see if we can do something there! Thanks again even though it didn't go well it was still a blast!!

I'm the Rear View Mirror Expert around these parts

For that Turn 1 incident, I thought I was going at a decent pace so when you showed up on the inside as fast as you did I tried to straighten the wheel as quickly as I could react. Split seconds man... Stupid game....
