I am certain that there will be some slots open come race day since some of the competitors who originally signed up have either dropped out or failed to compete in a number of races. That being said - I may not have enough slots for every reserve driver. Therefor, I will have you enter the lobby by the order that you signed up. Thanks so much for your interest.
I must also say, I have raced with everyone on the reserve list and it is a great list of drivers. Fast and respectful. It is a great delight to me to see your interest in the series.
Looking forward to racing you again, it's been too long. Well, for a lap or two before you drive off into the sunset. Hopefully you are still bad at pit strategy so I have a shot, lol.
Just a quick discussion about the Points Standings:
Now that we have reached the mid point of the Championship I thought I would go over the Standings. It's turning out to be a very interesting season. When one accounts for 1 dropped race (there will be 2 drop races allowed at season's end) the scores are as follows:
Pro Class
Timlour 91
CleanRacer 70
Moby45 66
Ledthe Iron 66
Mopowr 60
BassAddict 50
Viper 47
RRDZ 24
aceboy 18
Pro-Am Class
Canita 43
wilo28 43
drummer1979 24
racefan 17
In the Pro Class @Timlour has a massive lead thanks to his amazing performances despite being heavily laden with ballast and the incident at Catalunya. The rest of the Pro field is rather close so it looks like the rest of the season will be exciting to watch. The race at Monza was super tight from 2nd through 5th and I believe that if @Whitey093 had not suffered his incident he would have been battling in the top 5 as well. I got lucky and benefited from his incident and the fact that @Moby45 had his "mechanical failure". Which was most unfortunate because Moby was looking good for a top 5 if not a podium. Add to that the fact that we may see some new competitors enter mid season who will be completely unimpeded by any ballast....well, at least for race 6.
In the Pro-Am class Canita and @Wilo28 are tied and I am really looking forward to see how that plays out for the rest of the season. I promise you that I will be focusing more on the Pro-Am battles during the Broadcasts. Bring your best boys!👍
I want to thank all of the competitors. Especially those who raced from the beginning because despite the issues we had in the first few races you hung in there and have been the reason the series has made it this far.
There are many more great battles and excitement to come. I'm sure of it!
P.S.I am already deep into the planning stages of Season 3 and I will be posting up some small tweaks to the format and proposed rules to deal with some of the "incidents" that have occurred. That being said.... there has been some very clean and exciting racing in all of the races and I want to commend you all for that. It is very refreshing to see other people who appreciate close clean and "Gentleman" like racing. (do you see what I did there? ) I also want to commend @Mopowr for his efforts to improve his race craft following the incidents at Catalunya. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed and they are greatly appreciated. Keep up the great work!
Season 2 has gone very well thus far. As a result we have more drivers who have signed up as reserves.
In the interest of letting people know what is going on and having the lobby set up in a timely manner - I'd like to know what the status of the following drivers is for tomorrow.
I was planning on showing up for the back half of the season but I still have to heal my foot for another two weeks so I'm gonna take it easy. Hopefully I can race on December 2nd
Please post if you plan on attending. We have a number of reserves and we stand a good chance of having a full lobby. I obviously want to make sure that folks who were already attending regularly make it in but I'd like to get as many reserves in as possible as well.
RESERVES: Make sure I am on your Friends List or send me an FR so you can find the Friends Only Lobby . And please have a livery that meets the requirements. Thanks.
Also, the race will be run with fuel consumption rate of x2. During testing I noticed that x3 would leave people in a position of having to pit twice. Something must have changed in the last update because during testing in preparation for the series this was not the case.
This race should be another good one. I will have the Race Broadcast posted as soon as possible tomorrow for your viewing enjoyment.
I'll be there. Can't wait to see what kind of outrageous lap times Tim and mopower are putting down. My times stabilized at a certain number and I can't find any more, I am maxed out. Fingers crossed its enough.
