@GTP_Guido I knew about the keyboard controls but the replay function/Z is only available in spectator mode. I do all of the Broadcasts from saved replays. The are "Re-Live Broadcasts" so to speak.

What logos are you referring to?

The IRS lettering and the GTPlanet Logo to the top, so we can see the speed, the gears, the tire wear and so on...

I think he hides that info on purpose to A) not divulge too much and B) keep the suspense of what may happen. I dont have an issue not seeing it.

If anything, my input would be to show more mid-pack and pro-am action. This last race, that's where all the action was. It was basically a qualifying session from 1st to 5th save a few quick passes.

True, another point to add though is that track is kind of a qualifying session track. Not a lot of action happens on it.

I did notice hardly any attention given to the Pro-Am winner. Are we not declaring the highest position driver in that class as the class winner?

I like all the feedback guys. Thank you.

@Whitey093 is correct about why I cover the telemetry on the bottom. I may rethink that for the future. I just didn't want to expose anyone's secrets.

Well the replays are usually shared by somebody in game so honestly there are not really any secrets. And if anybody wanted to learn the secrets all they have to do is save their replay. So I wouldn't worry about sharing "secrets". Lol

Working hard to get Season 3 Organized and ready to go when the time comes. Here is a glimpse at the potential schedule:

Race 1 - Interlagos
Race 2 - Monza
Race 3 - Catalunya - 90 Minutes Endurance ?
Race 4
- Brands Hatch GP
Race 5 - Red Bull Ring

Race 6 - Nürburgring GP
Race 7 - Spa Francorchamps - 90 minute Endurance ?
Race 8
- Laguna Seca !!!
Race 9 - Autopolis - Full Circuit
Race 10 - Suzuka - 90 Minute Endurance ?

As you can see, organizers are considering 3 Endurance Races that would make up an Endurance Championship within the GT4 Championship. Those races could be worth double points! It's early days yet so much needs to be worked out but rest assured - positive changes meant to enhance competition and heighten the excitement are certain to be made.

A beloved new/returning track will be added (late in the schedule). Let's hope PD sees fit to get it to us sooner rather than later.:)

As always, thank you for your participation. It's your presence that makes the racing great!:gtpflag:

Just like IMSA!! You've got a WeatherTech championship and a Tequila Patron Endurance championship 👍 I love it!!

I like the 90 minute races. These races go by so fast, especially if you are trying to recover or catch someone. There just isn't enough time to achieve anything. Also, the more pit stops necessary the better. Makes strategy more important.

The thing I like about this league is the lack of pitstops. Every league on GTPlanet has it set to where there are multiple pitstops. SO I would personally like it if we stayed away from having to do MORE of them. Kind of break the chain of similar leagues.

90 min races obviously will have more pit stops and thats fine. I am for sure cool with that. But our shorter races are fine with the 1 pit stop.

This should definitely play out more like an actual race. With all due respect, the way ARL handles tire and fuel wear is a bit "extreme" for my liking. Most if not all of the series the IRS puts out have more reasonable tire and fuel life.

Exactly. It really irritates me doing a 20lap race and having to pit 5-6 times. It makes no sense. A multiple pit strategy shouldn't be a thing in a 20 lap race.

Stick around for the Blancpain Season 2 and you'll have a great time. Each week it's a 90 minute race with a single pit stop. Most action happens on track in the opening laps, around pit stops, and then the final laps are really intense every time. I should have a thread up in mid December to start the racing January 2020.

That is because it is set up like a real race. lol

I am just tired of leagues setting up these mini-endurance style races. If we want to do multiple pitstops then quit doing sprint race formats with ridiculous tire and fuel wear. Just make longer races. It is ok to have sprint race leagues out there. In real life that is the majority of club level racing(SCCA and NASA).

@Moby45 I agree, i dont like accelerated wear and would reccomend against artificially creating pit stops, but the longer races will naturally lead to to a few stops which is what I like. 60-90 minute races are my ideal length with maybe a few 120 minute races on occasion. I appreciate the changes.

@DesertPenguin couldn't agree more about the ARL wear settings. I love the ARL but do not like the high wear settings at all.

60-90 min races are usually very fun. IMSA series does that format in real life with a 2.5hrs sprinkled in. It creates a lot of good racing with a few good pitstops and strategy in there. I personally love how IMSA runs their pro-am leagues. Some are spring races, some are enduros.

THat looks to be like what Mr. Gentleman is doing here and it should be a lot of fun having both sprint and enduros in the same season. I am all for that.

There are some plans in the back pocket for a proper IMSA two class series so it's good to know there's an interest in races longer than 90 minutes as a more common event. Since a four class split would thin the fields too much we'll go with just two so most likely "DPi" and GTD/GT3 cars. The only odd car out will be the Porsche since the in-game car is the GTE car but it fits in just fine.

Race lengths are likely to be slightly longer in Season 3. They may go to just about 1 hour while still maintaining the one stop fuel and tire settings.

The 90 minute races will likely force 2 stops (I don't want any more than that) because fuel and tire setting will be the same as the regular races. Some serious testing is in order to be certain that none of the cars available in the series are disadvantaged due to fuel mileage.

The starting fuel set up now - 75% - will need to be modified as well.

Lots to do but we will get there.

The Aston is the other GTE car I believe.

What would constitute as the "DPi" cars? Just the normal gr1 prototypes? With Mazda joining Polyphony maybe we will actually see a legit DPi car in game. I hope so because I love the Mazda DPi.

I think we'll end up just calling it an LMP2 class and using the 2011 Audi R18 TDI and/or the 2010 Peugeot 908 HDi FAP and spec them for something like the usual 1984lbs and around 600HP. Maybe even 650 if the extra fuel burn doesn't affect things.

So I wanted to point out a few things about ARL tire wear.
We don’t want everyone using super softs, but we didn’t want to outlaw them. We really wanted to open the tires up to make pretty much all competitive. If you were going to use softs you needed to be gentle or use the supers for a last ditch effort. Yea the tire and fuel wears are a little “extreme”, but it’s in a really good place for what we are trying to accomplish. We would love to open up our races to more than 45 minutes, but we have a large demand for 45 minutes. To me, sprint races are like snail and less than 15 minutes. We have a unique league on Saturdays that has gained a lot of attention, I do appreciate yalls thoughts out here in a different thread. We have some things in the making that will hopefully attract some of you guys here.

On a second note, I’m considering leaving snail at the end of the year to venture out into some other leagues. This will allow me to (hopefully) have time to TUNE cars and run some of these other leagues with you guys.

Ummm.. while I appreciate people discussing there preferences and what they enjoy about other series in other leagues I would like to get back to the IRS GT4 Championship.

Please try not to post long drawn out explanations about what's going on elsewhere. At least reach out to me through a PM first.

I have no problem with organizers of other series posting up a quick add for a series that doesn't conflict with this one. I would just like the courtesy of a message first. Thanks.

If anyone is practicing for Red Bull Ring let me know. Havent raced in the rain yet so this should be interesting. I have finished 13th and 13th in my other league races and need some redemption Monday so I'll be putting in some extra laps for this one.

I may be able to put a practice session together later today guys. I will post up a time with as much notice as possible soon.

I figure some 5 or 6 lap races to get a feel for the car and than maybe a half distance race if guys are into it.
