Hey guys, I was just invited to see Captain Marvel tomorrow night after work so I won't be home to host the endurance race. This in no way means the race is off. Any one of you can host a room. All of the settings are listed in the first post. Autopolis 26 laps. I'll be home at around 11 if anyone is still on to practice or anything.

Welcome! Lemme know if you need any help with the livery and I'll gladly help out. We are going to be on tonight for practice and maybe an hour long race. Season 6 starts next Wednesday.

Since I've been messing with liveries so much lately I just wanted to let you know that for this week I'm going to use the one I posted on the last page. Hopefully I'll have something new and different for the start of the next season, but we'll see.
An idea I had was also that somebody could make a "standard" livery that could be used by somebody who was new or just wanted to drop in for a practice session or something. That way there would be no "need" to scramble and make something. We could just designate a static number like 00, or 86 for that livery.
Maybe that idea is a little excessive, but it was just a thought and I figured I'd share it.

Who's racing tonight? 9pm I'll open a lobby. It's not the normal night so I don't expect much. If only a few show up we'll just practice and hold off on a big endurance race.

I would volunteer but I'm unsure if I will make it tonight. Feeling a little under the weather today. If I feel better by race time I'll be there, if not then good luck to those who participate.

I have only received two time trials so far in the last week and a half. It would really be helpful if all of you could get this done before Wednesday so we don't make changes mid-season. It would also be helpful if some of you actively visited this thread instead of just showing up to race on Wednesday night but that's something else entirely

Do any of you guys do the FIA races also?
I think I might avoid them after the BS in tonight's race... Ended up with 9 seconds of penalties on lap 9 of 11 due to...
A) Guy ahead of me punts the guy ahead of him, forcing me to swerve so I don't hit him. I end up getting punted into him anyways & then spun out. Penalty for me.
B) Guy ahead of me hits wall mid corner & crosses in front of me causing me to bump him slightly. He ends up cutting a corner during his "recovery". Penalty for me.
C) I'm passing a guy on the inside, he turns into the side of my car while I'm on the inside line & ends up crashing into the wall as he over corrected from the impact. Penalty for me.
I don't really care all that much about the contact, I try to avoid it but it's a game and stuff happens, but it's like a double kick in the nuts when I get the penalty, they don't, and I lose even more ground because of it. Probably should have finished in 9th or 10th, ended up in like 15th, which is annoying but whatever. The kicker? I go from a perfect SR S to a SR B, making the next race rather pointless.
A league like this sounds oooooh souch better.

I try to avoid Sport Mode at all costs. I've been into leagues for awhile now so they're the only way I'll play a racing game.

I just like the idea of it so much...
And the handful of other FIA races I did weren't too bad. Losing that much SR in one race for stuff that really wasn't my fault is excessive though, and brought my night of racing to an end.
Either way, half the events are the same night as this and I already would rather do this.

Once I found out the FIA races were on Wednesdays it explained why there was less interest in this series to begin with. If I can have a clean race with people in Sport Mode then I'm happy because I don't bother worrying what goes up or down and if its right or wrong. As long as the racing is good it doesn't matter to me.
With that said I haven't raised my DR/SR up high enough to match with those drivers so there's also that. I haven't put the time into it because it doesn't interest me as much as a series here with a championship and the same drivers each week. You build a bond and respect for each other on track and off.
That said, I have considered moving to Tuesday nights to avoid the FIA conflict in hopes it would bring more drivers but it's not a priority at the moment.
