The dark side is going well. Once I can finally get the T300rs up and running it should get even better. Even on DS4 I have been pretty consistent midpack though which in Camels room is a feat.
 
Sounds like fun. There's some good stuff on there that I can't join and single player doesn't hold my attention for long, so in the end I stuck with GTSport for my online racing. I remember the months before PCars2 came out and we were all hoping it would be everything we wanted for an online sim racer. Shame it fell short in all the ways GTSport succeeds. It would be great if there was a "super group" of game developers that put all their efforts together for one mega game. $100 at launch and I'd buy it.

And you finally have a wheel so hell yea, gonna have some nice even battles on track!

Just ran a few laps on this to get familiar with it. Haven't driven this track yet. (not usually a fan of these types of tracks) It's interesting for sure.

Yea, all of the details are the same as the GRMN car and listed in the livery guidelines. Only change is the numbers on front and back because there's no license plate on the Gr. 4 car. No number needed in front and the rear number can be anywhere on the rear.
 
It took my so long to make the GRMN livery and I don't even remember some of the tricks I used so I couldn't recreate it for the Gr. 4 car.
 
Ok maybe just me over exited but since I haven’t had a chance to practice at all. I’m actually getting pumped For tonight race. Did a few laps at lunch to have an idea of time but with the controller.

Anyone else has laps times? 2:45
 
Something I was wondering about, in the past if we wanted to practice for online races we created a lobby because the online physics were slightly different than offline. Is that still the case with GT Sport?

I ran a 2:41 with the GRM and 2:20 I think with the Gr4. Edit: Offline.

Room up. Qualifying is live until 9:25 then you get a break for bathroom and whatnot.

Good stuff. Before the pit stops I figured I was in for a guaranteed 2nd place so just concentrated on trying to set fast lap. Pit, only took fuel and came out within striking distance of P1. Thought I was OK on fuel but coming out of the last corner with 2 laps to go it told me I had 0.9 laps left, so I dove for pit lane again. Pretty much one lap short on fuel. Lesson learned I guess. Congrats to Whitey, didn't make it easy.

Definitely a good time with the Gr. 4 car and battled with demon and Luis and Clean Racer for many laps at a time. That's what this is all about. There should be closer racing next week with Dragon Trail Gardens. Careful with the opening double chicane and live to fight to the next corner :)

Any thoughts about increasing the fuel/tire wear and reducing the length of the race? Seemed like we got pretty spread out, though I wasn't really paying much attention to the mini map to see if that was the case.

That was a crazy fast lap!

I was telling DP before the race that I was struggling to adjust to the gr4 car after not playing for about 1.5 weeks and mainly driving the Mustang in gr4/3 previously.

Fastest I set was 2:23 but knew I could get 2:20-2:21 if I could stop messing up and you blew that away! Congrats!

Personally, I like the higher fuel/tire wear in FIA races (unless it's crazy high) so I wouldn't mind trying it out here.

I also liked the longer race. We got spaced out pretty good and even though I was sucking I never zoned out in a race. I've done that a few times with the way we did it previously.

Also, since BoP was brought up last night I just wanted to suggest it might be nice to use it. That way anyone who uses the 86 in FIA or Sport mode would have it acting the exact same way it does here. Not a big deal, just a thought.
 
I always have trouble with grip so x2 was enough for me lol but I'm gonna test x3. I too thought about BOP since like you said a lot of people are used to that from sport mode. At work now so I'll test later
