Is there anyone that can't race if we start 30 minutes earlier? Lobby/Qualifying open at 8:30EST and first race at 9pm?

Okay no worries. I was looking into it to get one member back but if doing so in turn loses a member it's a moot point.

Mondays I can’t race until after 9:30 eastern. So I will most likely miss the GRMN races but can make the GT4 races. I don’t mind starting at the back so I don’t have an unfair pole for missing the previous race. Just want to race.

Just a suggestion...

Do qualifying for the first season race and then base grid position on the results of the previous race or championship standings.

Might be more work to keep track of but that could eliminate any unfair advantage of missing the early race or sandbagging it intentionally, assuming you want to stick with reverse grid.

It's actually set up to be finishing position from GRMN race is starting position for Gr. 4 race, I just totally fudged it up last night

Do any of you controller guys use the right stick for acceleration/brake?

I bought a PS Vita the other day (Yeah I know, a little late) and was just messing around with the remote play feature and I switched to those controls due to a lack of triggers on the Vita. I was actually surprised how natural it felt. I did my daily workout via the Vita and while my laps were definitely slower they weren't awful. With some practice (on a DS4) I think I could do similar times.

R2/L2. You can’t brake and accelerate at the same time with stick which is limiting. I find it easier to rotate the car for tight turns by keeping part throttle while I brake and over a longer lap such as St. Croix B, it makes a big difference.

It wasnt, but it will be from now.

I'm really sorry all the stupid mistakes on Monday. If you guys want we can scrap those results and start the properly season next week.

I use L2/R2 now, but was considering switching based on it not feeling terrible and if anyone else preferred it or was doing well.

I don't brake & accel at the same time very often right now but I'll take that as a suggestion and try it out. You were pretty dang fast also so you must be doing something right.

Hey man we all make mistakes from time to time, even I'm guilty of that as well. I saw leave it as is as we still had a great couple of races and give yourself incentive to do better next week.

I just wanted to give you a heads up that I might be late/miss the race tomorrow.

Taking the wife turkey hunting so it will depend on her success or ambition, lol.

I won’t be able to log on tomorrow until 9:30-9:45 est tomorrow so I will miss the GRMN race but if the Gr.4 race hasn’t started yet i’ll jump in. Don’t wait for me though. If it starts without me I’ll just watch Netflix with the wife which is ok too.

You should be fine, as we end at 9:50 if on time and then a small break to make sure I get all the settings right. If not, a night with the wife ain't the worst thing compared to some virtual racing.

It's race night!! I'm gonna have a room open a little early for extra practice. Some info for the races tonight:

-You can't easily go through the first tight esses two-wide and safely. It requires trust and knowledge of your opponent. Play it safe, find a spot to tuck in behind and catch the slipstream leading up to the hairpin and make your move there.

-BOP spec is on for the Gr. 4 car, so it will behave how you are used to in Sport Mode races.

-Gr. 4 tire wear has been increased to x3. Slipstream is set to real.

Let's have some good close racing but more importantly let's have a good time!

Started the race on fuel map 2 and left it there pretty much the whole time. After a few laps it was clear that I needed to chill or I was going to make a huge mistake, so I settled in for a while. Whitey pulled away as I got into a rythm and was able to set fast lap somewhere in the middle. Started to reel him in a little but every time I would make up some time I would make another mistake and lose it. Decided to pit around lap 20-21, no tires, about 11 laps of fuel to make sure I would actually make it this time. Thankfully he didn't take tires either (I could tell since he wasn't pulling away) and put my head down to see if I could close the gap. Made a few more stupid mistakes and it was staying in the 2.5 second range for a while.

Finally I started to make some headway and coming to one lap to go he made a mistake in the last corner, giving me an open door to get by. As I was crossing the line under the white flag I switched to map 1 and hoped that would keep me out front. Had to be careful as I now had more power with crappy tires. I did make a few mistakes beyond the grip limit of the tires but was glad to see that he wasn't close enough to capitalize.

Really did not expect to win this one. Expected to be mid-pack somewhere. It is REALLY hard to do 10 laps in the GRM car and then instantly get thrown into the Gr4 and try to keep your composure. :P And I do not like this track at all, so that didn't help.
