No, actually.

Despite being born and raised in the states, I was taught Cebuano language first.

The funny thing is...

The moment I became fluent in english, I... Ended up losing most of my ability to speak my family's language.

I can understand what they say, but for some reason, I couldn't speak it.

So in the end, all I know from my first language is the ability to understand what people are saying, and having an accent :lol:

First language I learned, and I find it hard to understand some dialects of English (specifically Southern American) at times. Congrats to others that have learned the language to the level of calling it one of the languages they speak. I am currently trying to learn another language myself. It's a hard task, however I'm having fun with it.
 
Yes, my native tongue is English. But in my state we talk a bit differently than the rest of the country.
